Alright everyone! My LCD fan mod is finally installed and ready and appears to be working well. So for all the power users out there and everyone who wants to lengthen the lifetime of their LCDs, this is a possible approach. I hope you guys find the idea equally as interesting and exciting as me.

ChiTuBox Feature Request Hello printers and Photonsters ,

I have an idea how to make support removal much easier and cleaner, but I don't know how to go about this idea, as it requires software implementation in the slicer.
Since the implementation of anti-aliasing (AA) in ChiTuBox, it is possible to dim individual pixels. Instead of on or off, they can also have a value in between. I have thought of a method to make use of this functionality to create easier and cleaner to remove supports, that do not leave dents in the prints or other marks.

My idea:
Dim the pixels at the interface of model and supports! This would create a weak spot where supports and model meet and cause the supports to break off cleanly at the models surface. The only downside would be that support density or thickness would need to be increased some amount to maintain the supports function, but that shouldn't really be a problem and be well worth it. I am certain that this would work, but I do not know how to get this implemented in the software. I have no programming skills, the people at ChiTuBox are difficult to get a hold of and I don't know what other software would allow for this.
I believe ChiTuBox wants to enable plug-ins, so maybe that could be a place to start.
Does someone here maybe know how this could be achieved?

Thank you all for reading this and for your help 翻譯年糕

Is there an automatic way to set a "pause at layer x" using ChiTuBox or some kind of hack to effectively make it behave that way?

hey everyone, I've been looking everywhere now but I just can't find this stupid diagram anymore that portraits at what angle one should print using which resolution. Surely someone here has it saved and could post it in a comment? Thank you very much

!Thought Experiment! After getting hostile comments for no apparent reason, here is a second try. Please note that this is a thought experiment, I do not need to be explained why IPA is used for cleaning or what post curing is. I am merely interested in your opinions what you'd expect would happen in this mentioned scenario.
What would happen if you post cured a part IN IPA?! I know some people post cure in water to eliminate oxygen exposure so I've had this stupid idea of post curing in IPA. What effects would you guys expect? I don't think anything good would come out of this but I just can't help my curiosity! I've tried it with a tiny print but it's too small for me to make out any differences.
I'd love to hear everyone's input! What effects you'd think this would have on surface finish and mechanical properties.
What do you think? 翻譯年糕

is it possible for the z-axis motor to miss steps due to the peel force being too high when lifting the base layers? could this be a cause for squished dimensions of parts when printed flat on the bed?

LCD SLA vs. FDM

I modified and printed a gecko wall hook from Thingiverse to hold up my hammock on the balcony. As a test I printed one with my i3 Mega and one with the photon. To my surprise, both are up to the challenge :D

The hammock is quite heavy and has a large iron chain attached that increases the weight even more. I always read online that resin prints are too brittle to be used for anything functional, but I guess you should never blindly take anyone's word who tells you stuff like that :)

The resin gecko is hollow with a lattice infill created with mesh mixer. Post cured at 60°C for 15 minutes.

Just thought I'd share, maybe someone finds this interesting to see :)

Whats up all you printers,
say I had a great idea for how to improve support structures and particularly their removal, but it would need to be implemented in the slicer, who should I be talking to? I don't seem to remember ChiTuBox being open source, but my idea heavily depends on the availability of anti-aliasing. Are they open for suggestions? Or does someone here have a large degree of knowledge about how slicers function and could evaluate my idea? Surely one of you must be the one :)
