Well.. something is happenig. Test-cube from the Anycubic USB stick (ofcourse on a fresh, new Sandisk USB stick formatted to FAT32), original firmware that came with the printer (v3.4.1). Screen sealed with Kapton tape, then levelled with paper as the manual described, with the videos I've watched on Youtube on my mind. Figured I'd do my first test-run with the stuff the factory sent it with.

Fingers crossed... already had some encouraging popping while the little round base was printing...

Need some help again guys having issues.

Talking with anycubic but they are just referring me to the youtube videos they have.

I have check Z wobble and there is none machine is level. Z zero is really good

Print settings are

Layer height 0.03mm
Bottom layers 5 exposure 95sec
Standard exposure 10sec
Off time 3 sec
Lift retract 6mm

I'm having a real issue with the supports having this wobble In it and in turn of it being in my supports it is going through my print since i print on a twin axis angle. Any help would be amazing as I'm almost tempted to ask for a refund.

2 weeks of learning to use the photon.
Using a cr10s fdm printer for 2 years.

1. Learn to level.
2. Learn to tune your fep (part of leveling).
3. Acetone cleans uncured resin better than ipa.
4. This one is on going, chitu box is good, but learn how to use the prussia slicer, and validator.
Prussia slicer supports seem better than chitu box. Blue photos are chitu box supports, but the actual print has prussia supports, alot less and a cleaner print.

I hope this helps some people ?

Has anyone else had problems getting anti-aliasing to work, with an AnyCubic Photon? (not S).

Mine arrived the other day and I was thrilled with the test print. I checked the device and it has firmware 4.2.17 already installed.

I activated anti-aliasing in Chitubox and sliced my mini with anti-alias level eight (pic 1). I checked the file in the file validator and it correctly showed AA level set to eight (pic 2) - so the model definitely sliced with anti-aliasing active.

Yet when I click on the image in the file validator, despite it saying there are eight levels of anti-aliasing, I only ever see green or yellow pixels (pic 3) not the anti-aliased greyscale image the screenshot on github shows (pic 4).

I think the issue is software rather than hardware based, since my hardware came with 4.2.17 already installed on it which is the hardware version recommended in the anycubic youtube video (pic 5). The two-colour display in the file validator just doesn't look right to me! Though maybe it is, I don't know - I tried clicking "convert" and forcing it to recalculate anti-aliasing: it did so, but the preview image is still only green and yellow with no nice gradients as in the app screenshot.

My prints are very much like the "before" photo, not the "after" one: I printed Boba Fett's legs 10 degrees off vertical (with his feet supported on the base plate) so the artifacts are not layer height issues - they look very much like anti-aliasing isn't working....

Any ideas, hivemind?

HELP!!! my first prints don't attach on Z-plate. First try (with manual instruction): set Z-axis moving the plate until paper sheet moves not freely. fix the plate with wrench set Z-height as 0 (Tools -> Z=0) PRINT
Second try (following this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6XHlSyj2ZU ) set Z-axis moving the plate until paper sheet moves not freely. fix the plate with wrench move up the plate and put the vat in its slot move the plate down until the vat moves not freely. set Z-height as 0 (Tools -> Z=0) PRINT
Both prints was paused (3-5%) in order to check if it was attached to the plate, but it was on the bottom of vat. What i'm doing wrong?? ?

I have a Photon being shipped now. I need to iron out venting... I can buy a generic flange for the 4" tubing I have, but would rather get one that bolts onto the existing photon unit... I've heard on youtube that there are 2-part vent flanges that can be printed ON the Photon... Does anyone have a link?

Thank you.

I need some help with 3d printing ultrasounds. Using slicer.org. Software. I got a bunch of dicom jpg and tiff files from an ultrasound tech. But cannot get them to stack like in YouTube videos. What exactly do I need to ask the tech to do or type of files? Anyone experienced in this?
