Hey all, I'm going to be looking for answers, but if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

Bought a Photon ages ago, and I've been printing quite happily on the 4.2.1 firmware using the Anycubic Photon Slicer and I've ignored everything about upgrades and updates as the printer has been printing inside my needs.

Fast forward to now, I've been asked by a friend to print some minis, and the resolution I'm getting is okay, but not great. So I start looking around and see updates and Chitubox and all sorts of new things to mess with.

Where can I find accurate info about whether or not to upgrade to 4.2.19, what that will do to file formats, etc? I tried printing a file from Chitubox, but the printer said "Oh no."

I did this to my self ? ? ? . I had my photon for over a year. I had never had a fail print but I decided I need it to update the firmware to get better results. I never did any changes to the print settings or anything just send to print and get next day my print job. Now is been three times and just failures. What did change? First picture is my last work before failure.

fellow photon guys and gals. my Photon's firmware is 4.2.12. i want antialiasing. what do i do? install 4.2.19 and after, install 5.0.2? from the anycubic site?

Hello again, I got my photon today

I proceeded to install the lastest firmware, but in the site it mentions the update is only for upgraded photons

How can i know if my photon is the new mainboard?

Had some frame shearing on my printer running 4.2.17. it was suggested to up the firmware to 4.2.18. after some googling I found it suggested I use the epax x1 4.2.18 update on my photon.

There is an epax 4.2.22 update available that further fixes frame shearing. Is the epax board the same as the photon? Is it safe to use epax x1 firmware and is it worth doing the .22

People! I'm running a Photon 5.5 Firmware 4.2.17 and it purrs like a kitty. however I'm using a new resin and I remember somewhere that there was an updated 2-20 test. Should I just use the one available on photonsters? Thanks!

Has anyone had the same problem as me?

I'm leveling.

But the platform doesn't go down to the end.

It does not go down anymore from about 1.5 ~ 2mm.

I'm baggy even if I put paper.

What should I do?

I have updated the firmware and UI...

v502 and UI2.6

(I think this problem occurred after the firmware.)

I have a somewhat unique problem. My photon is in firmware 4.2.17 and works perfectly. However, when I update to 4.2.18/9 the LCD suddenly goes crazy. Attached is a video of me upgrading the firmware, any advice?

Question about the firmware... My new Photon S has 3.4.1. / UI 2.6. I see in the changelog for the latest 5.0.2 firmware that it offers support for the Fauxton/Photon S to read .pws files but this is already the file extension I've been using successfully. Is there any reason to upgrade to 5.0.2 ?
