So.... V2 of my 2mm scale GNR wagon has printed. Some lines evident across the buffer beam, but otherwise quite happy with this. I have been getting odd results with bulges, on the side angled toward the build plate. I have assumed that this is partly a result of pressure effects in the resin as the model is printed upside down. So V2 has had a good area of the floor removed to allow the resin to flow through. Generally this seems to have produced better.
There seems to be a lot of unevenness on the floor where the supports connect. Any tips to avoid this? Is is because incited resin gets trapped between the supports and is there fore difficult to remove with the alcohol? I use an ultrasound cleaner which does seem to work pretty well.
I am however pleased with the end Stantions and bolthead detail.

Ok, so I'm learning a lot, unfortunately at the expense of this bottle of resin... And a lot of time. A few questions. I am trying to print out the black panther model in pieces, split, and keyed. I'm having a few issues I was hoping someone can help me with.

1 - supports are making pretty big marks on the item. I'm trying not to paint this one so that's a big issue. What can I do to avoid that? Which settings should I change and to what? I think it's tip size and depth.

2 - even with multiple different orientations, it's as if I'm losing a lot of detail just above the supports where the model starts. In other words I printed the arm elbow down as recommended here and there are no real details visible on the skin like there should be.

I also realized that I can't print something with a key socket Downwards. It becomes a mess.

Thoughts. Some pics below.

Hi all. So I switched to chitubox. Printing multiple parts at once (trying to anyway)
Two questions.
1)do you find duplicate model works right. I have 5 parts and want to print 15 at once. And when u do this it goes crazy.
2) auto support is super slow. Is it better to just add supports?

Looking for a few tips of settings, but what the norm when swapping from a 0.05 to 0.025, what way do you normal adjust the eposure times for bottom and normal and by how much and do you have to adjust the number of bottom layers?

Right now i’m printing fine at 0.05 with:

normal at 10s
off time 1s
bottom exposure at 50s
8 bottom layers.

many thanks.

Just started my first print. :) I used the Flint Read method for leveling so hope all goes well. It is printing the photon cube. Any tips on how long it should be in the UV. I bought a 35w nail (half sphere) unit that sits above a mirrored turntable.

After a lot of trial and error, here are the settings that are working for me with my photon.

Layer 0.05
Normal Exposure 12
Off time 6.5
Bottom exposure 115
bottom layers 8

heavy supports with contact depth at 0.35

I am using the White rapid resin.

Thanks for the various hints and tips here - they've really helped getting me dialed in.

Finally, after multiple fails, I was able to fix the problems with my print bed. Now I just need to print out the wheels (will actually roll), seat and steering wheel and column. This is 1:64 scale for those of you wondering, also, I designed this model.
