Anyone on here take on resin printing jobs... 2 reasons really is 1. i need some doing and 2. it will also show to me weather the printer is what i need.
I have are 4 stls I need multiple parts from in black, grey and clear. I normally us 3dhubs but I've been thinking of a printer so thought I see if the Anycubic can do the job

First time using the new Chitubox auto support, and it failed. Seems like it printed all the supports perfectly but not the spheres on the tips and the rest of the print...

Anyone else have problems with the Photon refusing to take the firmware update? Either version? Tried both versions from the site, multiple USB sticks and the closest I came was it accepting the .BIN file but it refuses to even try and register the 255.lcdimg file claiming that it is an unknown file type. Currently pulling my hair out.....

Thank you for the add. My photon will be at my door tomorrow and I am very excited. Own multiple FDM printers but this will be my first SLA. I have taken some points from others posts and ordered a salad spinner and a UV nail curer. Are there any other tips that anyone can give me to help me set it up and get it running good?

Tips for machining/drilling resin. I experimented a bit this evening with both fully cured and fresh from the printer resin parts, drilling holes, grinding, and sanding. Both resins were “standard” clear resins, nothing tough or flexible or what have you. I definitely recommend doing any machining operations on the part before fully curing it. When fully cured, if drilling a through hole, and using more than just the lightest touch, you may get “blowout” on the back side where the resin shatters out the back. Also, be very careful with any machining operation to not allow any detectable heat to build up. It didn’t take long at all for my drill to generate enough heat through friction to cause the work piece to crack in all directions. Very light pecks are the name of the game, and I checked if the part was getting warm by touching it between each one, as well as clearing all the chips/dust so none could build up in the walls of the hole. Once I slowed to that pace, it was easy peasy, and I never felt it get hot again. Grinding works a treat, way faster than sanding to take off the nubs of all of the supports. Sanding works of course, but I only did that on my surface plate to get a flat bottom, for everything else I found small diamond files faster and easier. Of course, the usual cautions apply, if you work on an un-cured part wear gloves and if you are generating resin dust wear a mask. Bottom line though, machining this stuff is way easier than I was afraid it might be, so don’t spook yourself.

Who's Excited for the new ChitTu AKA Photon slicer!

Its been a pleasure testing CithuBox Alpha v1.0.2 and I can honestly say the team lead by Xinfu Xie have done an amazing job.

Here is a test print using the new AutoSupports.

I'll be recording a quickstart video for Photon users when the beta is released publicly very soon!

NOTE: This is "not" an official Anycubic release, they will not be supporting it until the official version.
