Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » TIP

Hello I just ordered my anycubic photon and am really excited but a little nervous I've been using filament 3d printers for years so I know a lot of the little tips and tricks but this is my first resin printer and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good video that goes over the basics of resin printing so I don't screw up or buy parts and resins that don't work (I did buy a 3mm filament when the only 2 machines I had were 1.75 at the start of my 3d printing journey)

Well figured out why I was having print issues. Chitubox decided to life my base layer 5mm off the base. So I fixed that. This is the first successful print after the cube test. It’s printed with the below settings. however it did have a flat film around it as I pulled it off the plate as you can see and left a small mess on the FEP film. I’m still new to learning support bracing so it caused one of the figures to miss an axe while removing brace. These figures are 6’ tall on the 28mm scale. Any tips or comments would be greatly appreciated!!

So I've had a photon s for about a week and a half now and just can't seem to get the kind of results I was hoping for. Left to right these are:
0.01mm layer 6s exposure
0.05mm layer 8s exposure
0.05mm layer 9s exposure

Elegoo gray

Anyone have any tips on how to improve the super fine details. Especially concerned with the tip of the round tower not printing at all.

Hi. I've just finished printing off a stunning multipart figure in anycubic resin from the $$Special STLs$$$ FB group. I've cured all the pieces in the sun today and now find that some of the parts will not fit together. I've heard that resin can shrink on curing. Is there any way to make the cured resin pieces malleable again so I can bend them slightly so that they fit together better?

Morning all! Posting this in a couple groups. So just got my new photon and wondering what happened here? Never had a resin printer always PLA so any advice/tips for this noob would be very appreciated.

Although a failed print I am very excited for things to come

Question:

I have been printing with skin, translusent red and translucent green for a while, having no issues... Then i tried a completly clear resin...

"PrimaCreator Value DLP Resin Clear"

>>I printed a small miniature with a base attached.

>>I used the default Photon Slicer

>>I used the autogenerated LIGHT supports for the platform. The rest of the supports was placed manually.

>> Ive used the default exposure time-settings in the slicer as they worked perfectly with the skin, red and green resins... So my understanding on how changed settings work is limited to common sense..

The miniature turned out perfect; no detail was lost and everything printed as expected.

BUT..

The supports under the base had merged into a solid piece (making the base a few mm higher..

So i was wondering: Which setting can i use to avoid this with a clear resin?

>> my common sense solution is to use heavy suppports for the base, lifting it higher to avoid the bug.. Or to just tip the model on its back (which i dont whant to do as it was modeled to print upright) but both these seems like a work-arounds and not a solution

So hard to find grey.
but I have white and some black resin pigment (liquid).

I had some good success with my S#!T mix of bottom of the bottle and some AC green with the dye. (pictured)
Hoping the white and black pigment will work better. Any tips on getting the right mix, and can I just use the same settings if I match the grey I use? Or does chemical composition play into it?

For those who are frustrated, and giving up because they can't figure it out, just keep trying. Do you research, look up tips, but never give up.

My first print using the anycubic green that came with the printer, printed this flawlessly. I picked up some anycubic grey and had nothing but problems. I changed some things in chitubox and tried. Changed some more and tried. Changed more and tried again. My result is this.

Worth the work as the detail is awesome. I learned some great things about supports and how they function, much differently than FDM printing as I've been doing that for years. Keep at it. You'll get the results you want if you don't give up.

So I did a print with green and everything went great but when I clipped off the supports I ended up busting parts of the model out. I did it before curing so I'm not sure how to avoid the issue?

Anytips for good support removal?

So, I pulled the trigger and ordered a Photon1 to dip my toe into UV Resin printing.
Just in case I forgot to order anything at the same time, here is a list of what I have ordered, is there anything else anyone would add to the list?
* Photon Printer.
* Two 1.5 litre plastic tubs with sealed lids and lift out strainers for parts washing.
* 5 Litres of IPA
* 1 Litre of Anycubic Grey
* 1 Litre of Anycubic Black
* 0.5 Litre of Anycubic "God knows what" comes with the Photon.
* 100 IPA Wipes to help with cleanup.
* 5 Meters of 395nm to 405nm UV LED Stips (12v supplies I have)
* Spare FPA Sheets.
* 3M 6001 respirator filter cartridges to try out the Photon fume extractor.
* Silicone funnel for getting the resin back into bottles.
I have a auto paint store near my office, so on Monday I will be getting a lot of paint grade paper funnel filters.
I also have an almost infinite supply of nitral gloves.
I think my FDM printer is going to be working overtime making some parts to help with this hobby, like the backplate for the respirator fume extractor etc.
So what else would be on anyones "essential list"?
