Hi all. Does anyone have any tips on how to rid the prints of the white resin left over after sanding? As you can see on the image in my case this is in a hard to reach area. I've found that spraying the prints with silicone lubricant then generally handling them turns most of the print back to its original colour, just wondering if anyone else has a better way of restoring the colour? Is there any procedure to follow or any products that can do this?

Cheers.

Very please with the way this same out, personalising my little Ford Fiesta. Had a few failed attempts trying to print this flat and ended up printing it edge on. Even found the there is a Ford font online. Text is inset from behind, front was sanded, polished and UV lacquered. Anycubic clear resin, not sure how long it will last before turning yellow. I did trap a few air bubbles in the badge, any tips to stop this happening in the future?

How do I increase details on the prints? Some of the detail on my 3d models is being lost. I realize that it simply won't be able to recreate exactly whats on screen so I'm more looking for general tips and advice!

Looking for some help here, I’m trying to assemble the mag snap heater by Vinicius Silva and I can’t for the life of me get it to work. As soon as it starts to heat, this is the result, is continuously reboots. I’ve tried replacing each component, I’ve rewired it multiple times paying close attention to the wiring diagram but this is the only result I can get and I have no idea what to do next. All the components also work perfectly fine when tested separately alone. Anyone have any experience with this issue?

For my third print I tested a complex detailed skull print. I mean, what the heck, why not?! This little printer is awesome!!! Took 11hrs. I’d give it a 9 out of 10 for this print. Anycubic green resin with auto-generated supports (I didn’t add or remove any), default green profile. Had a few supports early on in the print fail so the teeth got messed up. Also, two lines developed near the top of the skull. Not sure why? I’m more familiar using Meshmixer for supports back when I did FDM printing. Auto generated supports by Meshmixer were almost always perfect. Any tips for supports in Photon’s software? Anyone use Meshmixer’s supports with the Photon?

When small parts like the top of this staff or a spear tip frequently fail, is that a sign to reduce or increase exposure time?

Hey guys. Just thought I’d post a tip after a week. ( not sure if it’s been posted) I’ve had quite a few failed prints over the last week. The first few I would remove the resin and then clean it off the vat. It was quite a mission trying to get it off and not damage the vat. How ever I started removing it with the resin in without taking the vat out. Comes off way easier and with less force.

Hey I made my first print today and I am really happy with this printer. There were a few small issues but I am very happy. But I wanted to share a tip. I got a spray bottle from the hardware store for about $1. I filled it up with IPA ( 90% Isopropyl Alcohol), and to clean the vat I placed the vat above a plastic container are just sprayed it with the sprayer, using a fairly powerful stream. It rinsed ALL of the resin very effectively with no danger of scratching the FEP film. This technique is really good and I plan to re-use the IPA by low-temperature distillation somehow, I'll share those tips when I get it ironed out. Spray bottle is your friend !! Peace :D

I saw something about an additive the makes the resin more flexible can I get more details on that? Also any tips for getting rid of the supports without leaving pit marks? .2mm support tips also dont seem to stay connected to the model it's supposed to be supporting, advice? lastly, I check each support rod to make sure it doesnt go through the model and remove any that do but some that aren't touching pre-slice end up touching post print, how can I fix that if at all?
