Currently running a mix resin of Monocure grey with a hint of Anycubic black and the rest of the green. So far so good at .03 12sec normal. Fingers crossed.
These are the extremes when my choice of resin is short supply

What could be the cause of this? I’ve randomly starting getting this error after having my machine for about a week. Never had any other problems and printed perfectly until now. I’ve searched around for the M10800 error code but have found no solutions. I thought I found a fix at first. If I was to insert the usb drive before turning on the printer I had no error and was able to start a print. Print started off fine and I thought all was good. Returned an hour or so later finding cured resin across the entire vat. I thought I had just lost adhesion to the plate but then after removing the cat I had other problems. I decided to run the UV light test before doing anything, the light had no box in the middle and showed on the entire screen(not pictured). I then cycled the power to the printer and ran the UV light test and worked normal with the box in the middle.

Is this some kind of firmware problem? I can find a fix for the error code, hopefully someone knows. I have tried different USB sticks, all formatted FAT32, have reseating the USB extension and plugged directly to board. Also seems weird for the screen to start curing everything after printing for an hour.

Bluecast X5 and x10 guys. Care to share what investment powder and burnout cycle you are using? End result will be 14k rose gold. Thinking of doing a practice run with copper or something similar to prove out that the equipment i have can do it.

That and the recommended 14hr burnout cycle that came with SRS5 classic seems a bit excessive

Thanks in advance.

Hello people ! Thanks for the add.

So I' m now waiting my photon just ordered from AliE's birthday sells. About 349 euros for the printer (2018 model) with 5 fep and 2 extra liters of resin, I hope it was a good deal.
As I'm playing GW games (and other miniatures games) last thirty years, those 3d sla printers are a real revolution for me. I actually own a fdm printer (alfawise U30) but as I'm a total noob with resin, I'll need some help and advices. And please, sorry for my english, it's not my first language.
Cheers

Hi everyone, back with another question. I finally got everything to adhere to the build plate, but another problem arose. Supports lost adhesion to the models at some point.

Not enough supports? I've attached some photos of the problem and stl's below.

Specifications:
Layer Thickness: 0.025
Normal Exposure Time: 8
Off Time: 2
Bottom Exposure Time: 105
Bottom Layers: 8

Resin: Anycubic

Does anyone have issues with the photon slicer interface on a Microsoft surface? The menus seem to be distorted.

So a little update on yesterday’s post about warping: It seems that warping isn’t actually the issue. It’s more like accumulated resin on the top surfaces (closest to the build plate) of the model. The surface in the first pic is supposed to be flat and sharp, but instead it’s lumpy and gross. Anyone have this issue with flat surfaces close to the build plate? What do I do to correct it? And how is it even happening to start with, because the rest of the model is fine...

So i came across this video, he's using a single piece vat right? No fep, is there anything like this for the Photon? Would be awesome :) also what material could that vat be?

So I see people post their printing cabinets and enclosures all the time, so I thought I would share mine. I just put this together yesterday.

I took an old entertainment center, the kind that were made for big screen CRT TVs with the closing doors on the front, and made it into my printing cabinet.

First I cut out an exhaust vent on the side near the top, then I closed up the big hole in the back that was originally intended for the back of the CRT to stick through for so it wouldn't overheat. I left a slot about 2 inches wide open across the bottom for cords and for air to vent in.

Next I ordered this fan/filter combo from Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/…/B01MSEVQ3J/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_ti… ) and with a little hardware from Home Depot I mounted it to the top inside the cabinet.

Finally I hung a power strip in the back of the cabinet and put my printers in it. Now there is zero noticeable odor when I am printing with the doors closed, and it keeps it nicely temperature controlled. Even my wife, who has a super-sniffer, can't smell it.

I keep the cabinet in my office and it's quiet enough that even with the fan on high I can be on a conference call for work and no one can tell. It makes less overall noise than my central air or a box fan. I am super pleased with it. Now, let the printing commence!!

Oh, I forgot to mention, when I have the Photon door fully open there is just a couple of inches clearance from the bottom of the fan/canister, but it opens all the way without issue.
