I'm modifying my configuration file. These parameters do not change the lifting speed of the platform, although they should. Do reboot after applying the configuration file.
(Z axis default movement speed)
M8006 I30
;
;
;(Jerk)
M8007 I15
; Low value = high accuracy - significantly slower movement
; High value = Improved print times - Risk of losing steps

Question to you guys about updating firmware. I still have the original firmware and haven't had an issue yet. The going opinion was to not update it EVER unless there was some absolutely necessary reason to.

With some printers and software like cura, you have to update the firmware if you upgrade the slicer to a newer version.. otherwise things won't work properly. I haven't updated my slicer from 1.3.3 to the latest 1.3.6.

Just wondering if I am ok to do that with the original firmware without creating any issues for myself. Thanks.

How straight or dimensionally accurate are the parts from this printer? I want to print a large object sliced but but I don’t know if this printer will print the connecting points perfectly flat. Has anyone done this or anything like it?

How accurate are the print time estimates from the slicer on this machine? My FDM machines are always way off

1st print !

As i took me the time to check the builtplate and adress/fix some things what i thought is necessary i was almost sure there wont be technical issues.
Also didn't rush the leveling so was sure there to no issues.
That's why i skipped the testprints and went straight forward to productiv print.

Unknown things to me was if the settings are ok and the resin will adhere to the build plate. Well, it did.
Unknown to if the supports will be ok and in the right places.

Result is 2 out o 5 wargame 25mm bases came out pretty cool.
By the 3 in the middle the supports somehow warped (see last picture).
My guess is the supports i choose was to thin. I selected the smallest supports, my fault.
Please, if there's another reason then what i guessed i'm very happy to get advice.

The settings i used for Anycubic green was:
- 0.02 layer hight
- 10 basic layers with 60 seconds
- Rest of the layers 10 seconds
- braketime 3 seconds

Overall i'm extremely happy and simply amazed how detailed and accurate this printer works.
Remains just to learn more what supports to use for which geometrie.

Anybody use Cura? I noticed that it doesn't have the Photon mentioned in its list of printers.

Is there such a thing as a non-toxic or water washable resin for DLP printers? I found an old article from 2015 about water washable resin for use in schools and such. I am hoping that with the expanding popularity of 3D printing for home and hobby use that some research into less toxic resins will happen. It must be possible - Lisa Pavelka has a UV curable crystal clear and glossy resin that is non toxic, but it comes in teeny tiny bottles! Dollmakers use it for eyes :)

How accurate is the Volume measurement in Photon Validator? And how much resin can the vat hold? Trying to see how big of a print I can do without needing to add more resin.

Is it common for lighter coloured resins to produce less dimensionally accurate prints? When using Anycubic Black I get very accurate prints but using white I have noted inside diameters shrinking by 0.5mm and outside diameters growing by 0.3mm, is this to be expected or is it bad settings?
