Came in to a completed successful print. I wanted to test a new mix so i turned it off and on (I do this after every print, if I don't I have frame shearing issues on half the print) cleaned everything, and turned it to test mode to do my exposure test. This is what happened. It's not moving. Making a gentle grinding noise. I went through all the previous posts about similar things and tried all the non invasive things that were suggested
Nothing has worked. The little light at the bottom is red. Not sure where the sensor is actually located. I poked around and made sure there isn't resin spilled anywhere.
Working off of 4.2.18, regular photon.
Any suggestions?

Hello folks! Thanks a lot for many precious tips avilable here. Conducting tests to improve printing size up to up to 1 mete r! Since my Photon is under maintenance (dued to wobble issue), I'm conducting some test in order to discover real software potential. I modified "__dlpconf_" file to following machineSize values (mm): X:68.04 Y:120.96 Z:1000 In simple terms I tried modify Photon printer profile in order to achieve printed piece up to 1 meter. Anycubic Photon Slicer V1.3 software allows slicing "oversized" STL model and I got *.photon file (2.8 Gb!). After launching file print comes test failure : Printer lowers its platform to home (I manually simulate home to sensor) but printer keep lowering instead of printing. (Video shows test) Printing progress goes from 1% to complete without any printing process. Do you think printer firmware (Photon 5.5, V4.2.3_LCD) allows "oversized" printing? In case answer is "NO" do you know about open source software I could install on printer allowing custom profiles? Thank you all for reading and help! ? 翻譯年糕

Hi guys
Question: what software do you use when scan faces ? I know about skanect but its compatible with kinect...
I have a Bellus3D camera sensor but they do not provide the software for windows anymore.. it was a total bull$hit lots of crashes and errors.. so I’m stuck with the camera and I want to use it on my portable computer.. any suggestions please ?

Does anybody have any experience with a failed Z sensor. I'm already in contact with anycubic support, but I figured I'd see others experience here. The problem manifested with the machine never remembering where zero is after leveling the bed. So the build plate drives straight into the lcd.

Working on a heated enclosure for my photon at the moment. Being in Scotland it never goes above 20C (even in the summer), making it difficult to print in a garage. The heating system is based around a 260mm FDM bed, which the Photon will sit on. Planning 2 sensors for this, one at the top, above the Photon and the one already in the heated plate. Plan is for the plate to stay below 30C and the enclosure between 20C and 25C. I'll possibly add a switch to the printer, so that when a job is finished it vents the enclosure outside through a filter and switches everything off. Has anyone done anything similar? I will be making custom PCBs for this, so might be selling them if anyone else is interested.

Officially MIA ( fancy way to say it's completely dead) after hours of tests, the stepper is fine but the motherboard stepper driver just stopped working. The sensor works fine and there is no problem at the axis nor the base that helds the build plate ( dunno it's name). I bought this printer in march last year... So... it endured less than a year.( ? ) I have a no break attached to it, I clean it after 4 or 5 printings, sing to it every time I go to bed ( not) and I just use it to print objects below 5cm... never changed the FEP nor the screen. Hahah this is very sad. I will buy a S model and see how it works. For the price with shipping (120usd) of the motherboard, I rather buy a new one :'( .

I had an accident - need assistance.
I was removing a print and accidentally tipped the entire printer over backward (I had no idea it was so unbalanced). Resin poured into the interior of the printer, flooded the back wall.
I had the presence of mind to keep it tipped back and most of the resin flooded into the back wall and out the bottom. It was messy, but it doesn't appear any got inside the screen or projector, and none got on the electronics that I can see.
It took a while to clean it up and everything appears to be working OK, except the printer will not home now. If you tell it to home, it goes up about 10mm and stops - no matter where you set home at. Everything else appears to work.
I'm thinking maybe resin may have gotten inside that sensor in the back, at the bottom behind the z-axis screw, but I can't tell.
Anyone have any idea what part might have been damage that would cause this behavior?

Howdy folks! I've got to say that I am one unhappy new Photon owner this morning. Not only did the Photon slicer software not work... It just dies during the insert support phase... But the machine is also defective! When you power up and hit the "Home" button it drives to the floor of the build area and just tries to keep going! It doesn't appear to see the "home" sensor or whatever should be telling it to stop. No response yet from Anycubic and Amazon has been pretty useless! Any suggestions? (P.S. I've already downloaded Chitubox so the software thing is not an issue... but I would like the printer to actually work!)

Preciso de uma ajudinha.
Hj fui ligar minha anycubic photon, e ela simplesmente não ligou, somente a luz do sensor acendeu, o cooler, o display e o pendrive nao deram nenhuma resposta. Alguém sabe o que pode ser?
A única coisa que fiz foi apertar o parafuso do motor pelo lado de dentro que estava um pouco frouxo antes de começar a impressão.
I went to turn on my anycubic photon, and it just didn't turn on, only the sensor light came on, the cooler, the display and the pendrive did not answer. Does anyone know what can it be?
The only thing I did was tighten the engine screw from the inside, which was a little loose before I started printing.
