Hey guys, so good and bad news. Bad news is im in dire need of some money due to a fire that burned me out of my home, and everyone is fine and safe. BUT Good news Im selling a bunch of my 3D printing stuff. Ive got a Anycubic photon with a 2-3 bottles of resin and cleaning material. And few parts and tools as well as a black light i use to cure and a ultrasonic cleaner. And i think more too but im trying to remember what is all there without actually seeing it. Its currently in my storage, and dont have it right in front of me.
Ive also got a Rostock Max V3 with a bunch of add on's (e3d hotend, 0.8 stepper motors, bmg extruder, some 20 nozzles varying from sizes groups of like 2-3) and lots of parts (wire, tubing, glass bed, arms, hot end, sensors, stepper motors, a magnetic removeable heating bed and more) and few open and unopened spools. And i believe more, but Im trying to remember what it all has, it has been in storage for a few months
So after you've read this whole book of information, im wanting to sell everything for $1700, negotiable. I live in the Seattle Washington area if anyone is interested. please dont hesitate to message me questions. I will get pictures hopefully in the next day, but please if your interested just message me and we can chat. Thanks! Enjoy printing :D

Modeling question. I'll be printing this on an Epax X1, as a miniature mod ad on for my Chaos Dreadnought. I know we can print complex things as one piece. However breaking parts up for better and cleaner orientation, and support placement seems like something that make sense.
In the following image (the model is not complete as yet, still missing the monster mouth and damage pass) I want to break off the red pieces and print them separately from the main body. The barrels and sensor will have a recess to plug into, and the pipes will just be glued flush once cleaned.
Am I over thinking it? Trying to get a good print without support nightmares is my concern.
Thanks team. Edited for clarity.

So ive been trying to email Anycubic for about 2 months now dealing with a replacement part. Still no response.... is there another email I should try? Recieved a photon brand new with a bad z sensor and maybe a board.

Does anyone have schematics on the control board for the Photon S. There is a lot of pinouts not used and they pair the two 30x30 fans onto one pinout (foolish it you ask me).
Reason I am asking is to see IF I can wire in a sensor for air quality as I am going to be upgrading from the actived carbon bags to filter sheets and adding a carbon filter on the bottom and back as well. Thatway doing a better job of isolating fumes and better defining air flow.
Know what the pins are routed to will help as well as what the tolerance on current draw is. Which will allow for a bit higher CFM then the current fans and less fumes getting a chance to get into the room around the printer.

Can someone smarter than me turn this into a refill sensor?

Just finished some updates to the Photon. Z-Axis mod was done shortly after getting the printer, meant I had to redesign the blower to be offset to avoid clashing with the wider z-axis carrier. Starting point for the parts were: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3318738 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3681435 A 3D printed piece of ducting connects from print area outlet to rear panel of the electronics bay. Reinforced mounts (brass flanged inserts) allow a plate with the bayonet fit filter to be bolted in place and allows the filter to be fitted close the back of the unit. Upgraded the UI to enable ethernet so added that to the rear panel. Whilst in the electronics bay I upgraded the 60mm UV lamp fan to a slower 100mm one reducing the noise the unit makes but maintaining good airflow. Added a temperature sensor to the UV lamp heatsink and ran the wiring up for the (to be built) temperature and lamp runtime display. First test of new setup last night went well, unit is much quieter and noticeable less stinky. :-) 翻譯年糕

I have yet to make a curing station. I let my first couple prints sit out in the sun a bit. I've seen a couple mixed reviews about those LED strip lights, but I bought two cheap nail lights from Walmart because it would take less time than ordering off amazon, but now I'm a bit annoyed. They have a set timer, and a motion sensor, so if you don't constantly reposition them, the light only stays on about 5 seconds at a time. Anything I can do with that, or should I try returning them, and buy something else online?

EDIT: After some reading I checked if the z axis sensor light was on and it is not. When I Swich the machine on it quickly flicks on and back off again. Does anyone know how I might troubleshoot a sensor that is not working? Or reasons for it failing? Thank you
Hello all, looking for a bit of advice. My Anycubic Photon has developed an issue and I’m unsure how to fix it. It had been working perfectly until I tried to print and the platform would not come down. It seems to think it’s touching the screen when it’s floating in mid air and then when I cancel the print it travels right back up to the top and wants to keep going producing a grinding sound. Obviously I stopped it straight away so it didn’t damage the motor. I tried to reset the zaxis but it didn’t seem to make any difference. Can you suggest what I do from here please? My printer was only bought a few months ago, maybe 5 months? Thank you for any help, I’ve searched the forum but couldn’t find a similar issue. Paul

Cannot level- any ideas? It just will not go low enough. Leveled fine the other day, first print was fine, but I got unlevel removing the print , now I cannot lower the plate enough. Guessing it is related to the sensor in the back ? But I don’t see what’s tripping it. There is a metal bar thing that sticks down but I think that is normal? Any ideas? Thanks all

It's alive! Aliiiiive!!!
At last I've finished my old KLD YHD-101 upgrade. Well, more than an upgrade as only the metal frame remains from the original.
The beast is made out of:
- KLD YHD-101: metal frame
- Wanhao D7: upgrade kit (Z axis)
- Anycubic Photon: motherboard
- Epax X1-DJ: LED array.
+ adding USB port, Omron optical sensor, front touch screen and side fan (was supposed to be inside the printer, but I had to move it outside because of the huge led array), and modify the Gcode to enhance the Z height up to 17cm.
Adding to than I've made an upgrade to the D7 platform because I was bored to remove resin from the flat top each time.
Now it's time to print ;)
