Woo finally got printing! But I got a question even after curing the print still has a soft touch to it... this is the eco orange resin. Am I doing something wrong?

Ultra Sonic cleaner in IPA for 5 mins
Curing with 405Nm UV led for 10 mins.

Still has a soft feel to it. (Like a soft touch plastic rather than a solid piece)

Hi! I read that the UV resin, once cured, is suitable for use in products that will be in contact with the skin. (Rings, ear rings, etc.) Is that so? Is there "official" documentation about it? Thank you!!!!

Thank you for all sharing so much, moved over from the original green to some elegoo grey, got a cleaner and a uv light. Very happy with the result (zombicide character for scale)

How big of an issue is the Z wobble and the lower UV power on the Photon compared to other printers in that "class"? I'm looking at Elgoo mars, Epax X1 and Photon like prolly every other newbie out there but I just can't decide..

I have this in a 1 gallon aluminum bucket. works well, about 5-10min to cure.

Solar power turning display plate works well too. The Near UV is sufficient to power them and helps with even cure

Me again, apologies for all the questions but I'm a complete noob. Elegoo has a recommended UV cure of 405nm, the MelodySusie nail lamp I bought to cure prints chucks out a 365nm wavelength. Will it not cure at all or just cure slower? I've had successful prints and 'cured' them with this lamp but have concerns that it's not actually curing them. Being noob, I'm not sure what classifies as cured.

So my brother says "Hey, Max (my nephew, who is autistic) has this crane he adores. Uses the hook like a wrecking ball to knock down Lego's and such. Could you make an actual wrecking ball?

Feckin' A right, I can.

But in order to scale it to the crane, it's a little too wide for the build plate. So I cut it in half. (My FDM printers are all printing in various states of less than optimal right now, so that's not the solution I need.)

Wondering... best way to glue the halves together? I do that with FDM prints all the time. Not sure of the best methods and products for resin. (Elegoo grey)

Use epoxy? CA glue? Resin + UV?

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

I just got my photon having trouble with getting a print out. I adjusted the top plate three different times with the help from YouTube and the Manual hand book. I tried 200uv second time was 30. Any help will gladly appreciated or point me in the right direction. Thanks

Hi All. I'm new to resin 3d printing and I just bought the Anycubic Photon. I'm wondering if I have a defective printer though. I tried going through the UV detection and the image appears on the screen, but the main LCD on the print bed remains dark. Do I need to hook something else up to get it to work, or should it work right out of the box? I did a firmware update as well, but the screen still remains dark. Thanks.
