Hey guys I still have some uncured resin within my print I have a uv lamp and set it to 30 minutes it doesn't seem to cure it. It also has air bubbles what could be causing this?

I am going to get my printer tomorrow and have been pondering future upgrades. I am needing a reality check from those of you which have experience.

How much UV would be too much?

The stock UV source is listed at 25W, which I assume is INPUT power, not the UV OUTPUT power at 405nm. I have access to UV LED arrays of similar size to the original, but have 5 to 10 times more output power capability, still at 405nm. Would this speed things up, or would there be other limiting factors? Before anyone asks, the cooling solution and control circuitry for said UV LED is no problem. I would just have to make an interface between the existing circuitry and the printer's UV control circuits.

I am assuming I could speed things up some (basically like the 'S') but just how fast could I realistically go? Would it be worth doing?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Two newbie problems from a brand new Photon S user (kit all arrived on Friday). What am I doing wrong?
Pic 1. printing in Anycubic green resin, these model rail wagon sides are seriously warped and one has a hard white film on much of the surface. These were printed with default supports and initially seemed okay, until a few hours after curing in a UV nail curing device. Tried flattening them under weights but no success. Shown at the top is a perfect prime gray print from the same file from imaterialise.
Pics 2-6: an almost total failure on first using Elegoo grey resin, a smaller model with bespoke supports, but chunks are missing or distorted and lots of areas, incl the build plate, were covered with a thin slimy film of part cured resin. There were no chunks of resin left in the vat so nothing had broken off mid-print.
I've got a few great but very basic prints in Anycubic green to work direct on the build plate. But trying to print my more complex models (that I've had great success with through Shapeways and imaterialise over 5 years experience) has been 100% failure so far ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ . Happy to experiment with different settings, etc, but some clues from the experts, please!?

Just finished my new curing cabinet. Based on Dombi Szilárd's cabinet.

Used the same Lixhult cabinet.
Lined the entire cabinet with "chrome" wrapping sticker (€1.99 for a 50x150cm roll).
5 meters of UV LED strip (395-405nm).
And one Ikea mirror tile (had one lying around.

Seems much better than my old, nail dryer based, cabinet. Which operated on 365nm.

The Siraya Blu scrap piece lights up much more in this cabinet.

My prints have been failing lately - checking the UV test shows me that the screen has a bunch of weird circles on it. Top seems clean so I’m guessing something got inside somehow. It works aside from the fails above those areas

Is this fixable or is it a full replacement? If replacing - what are my best options? I’m UK based.

Thanks for your help ☺️

are there any good luminescent resins? like ones that are intended to glow, not just under a uv light?

I'm just posting this in case someone else comes across this in the future.

If you just got your printer and there's a dot that doesn't look pixalated this might be your issue. After cleaning both the LCD screen, the Fep and checking the file the problem still remained. I opened up the machine and found a piece of foam that had been attached to the bottom of the LCD screen. It wasn't until I removed the UV light that I found the problem. ***please take care when opening the machine so as not to damage any of the wires that are still attached***
