So recently there has been a few posts about washing prints and no longer using IPA, I hate the stuff and have been looking for alternatives in the UK.

After a few tests and diffent products I believe I have found the perfect product to use in the UK, successfully tested on multiple prints now and can confirm Elbow Grease works a charm ... £1 per bottle at places like B&M which is alot cheeper and safer than IPA

Something fun just landed from ANYCUBIC today. All in one wash and cure station that matches the new Zero printer. Happy to help test this one out in the shop. I'll put up an initial video on it in the next couple of days.

Hello guys! I just got my Photon a few days ago and haven't even tested it yet. One of the reasons is the fact that my house is quite small. Tha back of the house is where i do my laundry, and is not a safe place to have a printer. My office has my pc, two screens, some consoles, and my Oculus.

Is it safe to leave it close to my pc? I,ve been trying to find a place to fit it, but its been impossible to figure it out what place is safe. And how much the smell would affect me on a daily basis.

Yesterday I printed the XP finder, and I found column 5 to be the best for Anycubic Skin resin. To my surprise in the morning I found the test bent forming an almost complete cylinder. What can be the reason?

Tested out elegoo red. Pretty nice color. Hollow worked well but yeah messed up layer. Looks like it almost skipped a layer or two.

Time to clean up and lube up Z. That screw was dirty black anyway.

Ok good news. With the tips you guys have given me, thanks Joe for the settings, I have my first successful prints that are not the test print.

I might have gone over board on the supports but at least I'm starting to dial it in :)

Just got my photon S (upgraded supposedly but I don’t see anything in the menu that the upgraded S is supposed to have) and did an LCD test. This is what I got. It didn’t match the test square at all. PLEASE tell me this is correct and I didn’t just get a huge piece of worthless junk right out of the box??? ?

If you have tried the exposure test and could not decide which number was best, you can always print the AmeraLab Town in 2 increments. I mainly compared the letters on the building and the logo on the building. I found 14 second exposure works well with SainSmart Rapid Gray.

Have you used this technic for finding the exposure?

Hello all! I just got my Anycubic Photon printer last night. I'm 100% new to 3D printing (I'm primarily an artist that creates 3d models and illustration but I've always wanted to have my models printed physically.) I have TWO Questions, with images provided.

Firstly, I printed a tiny benchy as a test of the Printer.
The print went well for most of the model but towards the end, Benchy fell off the print bed for some reason. I found it floating in the resin vat.
Could this be due to a leveling issue, or perhaps an exposure duration issue? Or a mix of both? Any advice in identifying the issues when it comes to learning the mysterious process of printing as a newbie to all this?
I believe the settings in the file were as follows

Layer Thickness: 0.05
Exposure time: 10.5
Off Time: 1
Bottom Exposure Time: 80
Bottom Layers: 8

Secondly,
I want to print the model I made of one of my characters. He's definitely more complex than a basic Benchy Boat, and I used the provided Slicer software to auto-generate supports. My question for this model would be:
1. Does it need supports added at the tip of the braid and sidebangs? Or will those (ideally) cure to the printer bed and form as it rises?
2. Would the settings shown in the image be adequate exposure and layer thickness time for this type of a model?

Sorry for all the noob questions. But I appreciate any input, as well as any helpful links and resources so I can do some reading on my own as well.
