Ok I'm attempting to use meshmixer to separate the legs, lower portion of the hair and head from the model, so I can scale it up and print it out for a larger model. But when I separate shells it has around 20 parts instead of just what I'm segmenting. Anyone know how to fix this?
Edit:
I know zbrush has a merge function that will make all the different segments or parts into one piece. Does blender have that option as well. If so I could run it through blender first.

Hi, I'm playing aroud nto get the best supports for some models. so i tryed the tip here to use Meshmixer and that export this as a stl. this workflow works. but i have an issue within meshmixer and i cnat finde the setting leadign to it. see the images. recognised this, after a failed print, with nice supports an no model on top.
problem is, that when i ture the support to "solid" it adds up a gap between the model and support, from my poitn of view the death for an resin print.
i player a round with all the seetings and advances setting and get tihs result every time.
has some one a solutuon or hint?

thank you for you help!

I am in trouble with Meashmixer. Maybe you can help?

I have a rocket model which I want to hollow and make a drain hole. But every time I make a hole (either from the hollow function or Meshmix + binary subtract the rocket gets deformed. How can I make the hole so that the sides do not become beaten up like someone would have crashed with the rocket?

EDIT: SOLVED! Solution in the comments

Workflow question,
I started using ChituBox almost right out of the box after reading many, many less than stellar opinions of the stock slicer, and I'm pretty happy with it. I've actually used it to hollow a couple of times and it has worked out fine for me.

I tried MeshMixer, and I've had a few issues with odd artifacts in the surface of the item after hollowing and adding drain holes, pretty much any time i'm adding the drain holes when it's on a face that's not perfectly flat. It's ok if it's the flat bottom of something, but if it's a face that has details and some large flat areas that I'm putting the holes in, I get weird jagged surface artifacts all around the holes, so I've been hollowing in MM, then digging the holes in Chitu, and that seems ok.

I started playing with PrusaSlicer to place supports, and it seems to be pretty good, but I've only used it a couple of times.

However, last night I did run into a problem. I'm trying to print a larger piece that I wanted to hollow. So I hollowed in MM, exported and then opened in Prusa, and added supports, and I could not get it to generate ANY supports inside the very large hollow.

Anyone have experience with using Prusa's auto-support to put supports inside a hollow print?

I'm in love with Elegoo Transparent resin. Printing out some griffins for my 5e campaign. There was a disturbing lack of baby griffin models online so I had to meshmix my own. Little chonks! Gnome wizard for scale. ??‍♂️

tried my first time at meshmixing bits and files together, liked the results BUT

as soon as I hit "make solid" all this gross bulging and connecting tissue appears where I had previously had nice looking joins in the file. Any tips on getting rid of these?

Anyone familiar with meshmixer know how to create more advanced cuts than just a plane cut?

im looking to separate a torso from a pair of legs but the legs and torso also have pouches and dangly bits running near where the cut would be
