Is there a resin equivalent of an FDM temp tower? I have my printer doing ok, but I do have some issues with my prints. I would.liem to be able to print a tower or something that will tell me where I should be with my settings.

So bought an Anycubic for Black Friday, they sent me the resin from China and it's a terrible 25-30* white opaque resin. Wheres my lovely green transparent? I will contact customer service because all my prints fail, this is the best I got. Have to say i love FDM way more, the Photon is fragile.

First time I printed something that needed tolerance, and I discovered that my print was oversized in XY plane by about 1mm.

The cylinder, was modeled at 28.25mm, but it came in at around 29.5.it was printed vertically along the length of the cylinder and nothing failed supports wise.

I know how to adjust on an FDM printer, but on a DLP, what are the options?

Reduce the model OD? I can't scale in the slicer because I need other features within the model to be on spec to.

Is it over curing? My layer time was 13s for this black Elegoo.

I’m ramping up for my kids’ STEM night at their elementary school in January. I go every year but this is the first year that I have the resin printer. I know I can’t bring the resin printer and print like I do with FDM, but I want to bring some exemplary prints with me to show off the technology.

What have you printed that just blew your mind? I’m willing to pay a few bucks if the model is that good. Any size too, I’m willing to print big if it’s worthwhile.

Extra points for a mesh/chainmail that YOU printed and came out really well (and info on how to support the model). Oh, and a dragon, because I love dragons.

Hi guys,

I have FDM printers and I think to buy Anycubic Photon. I live in a place where we have 4 seasons and now is winter. I print at the garage and of course Photon will be there. The problem is the temperature. Now it is around 6 degrees. Do you think that he will work good or I need to make some enclosure? Or to find better place?

Hey all, was wondering what your recommendations for testing tolerances (how well stuff fits together) with your Photon's? I've seen a few of them on thingiverse but they all look like they were designed with FDM printers in mind.

Reason for the question is I started to print the "Seven the Articulated Dragon" model on my photon and I'm having a lot of trouble with the parts fitting together, they're too tight so it feels like I'd be breaking them while trying to snap them together, and it was designed with a tolerance of about 50 microns in mind.
