Loving the anycubic photon, but I am struggling with the resin safety, trying not to touch other stuff, cleaning vat and safely disposing of contaminants.

Only a few days old, but it’s time for it to go, I think I will just stick to using my fdm printer, I am far to forgetful for using resin lol.

I know, another sample print, but sooo impressed with my first print. Far better than my FDM could ever do. Leveled the bed the Flint Read way and disconnected the internal fan so the fumes were virtually non existent (not that I mind the smell of the resin).

New member here. About to pull the trigger on the Photon. Can’t resist that $299 price and not sure I would appreciate the cost trade off of the S. I am an HO model railroader and will be printing items too small for FDM. I’ve spent a week reading and watching videos but if there is a thread or beginner area, please point me to it.

Hi! I have replaced the fans with quieter ones, and the photon is now really quiet - except when moving up and down during printing.

Has anyone tried putting dampers on the nema motor, or damping feet like with fdm printers? any other suggestions to making the stepper more quiet? 2208 drivers maybe? :D

I am pretty new to resin printing and so I have allot to learn so I figured you guys/gals can point me in the right direction lol.

I am making this part with my FDM and resin printer so I have a good comparison between the two.

I printed the following part and just did it flat on the build plate. When I did the bottom fused together, and I had to throw them away. I am thinking I need to maybe use supports to get it off of the table to get it out of the longer exposure time (not to mention it was a beast to pry these things off of the build plate with so much surface area).

I wanted to see if anyone has any other suggestions before I make another attempt.

Just wasn't to say thank you to the hive collective here. I've found a ton of useful info and am getting great successful prints which I don't think could have happened without this page. I've got two more printers on the way. I'll soon be up to 3 resin and a FDM.

Hi everyone! Got my photon today, already having trouble, first resin printer, I’ve got a ton of fdm printers. Any tips you can offer would be awesome. 3 fails so far, decided to change resolution to .05 and add a raft. Hoping that helps.

So I see some amazing prints coming from this group, and I'm getting there but I'm sure there's room for improvement .
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had optimal setting for anycubic green remain that comes with the printer ?
Adhesion has been good , and am def enjoying resin vs fdm for details. But I know next to nothing about some aspects of it , but I'm learning everyday
