Ok, so here it goes...finally unpacked and printing the photon cube. First ever resin print.
Is that popping sound ok?
Couple of years of fdm under the belt, but nervous and excited at the same time.

Hey team,
What’s the shelf life on resin from Anycubic? All of my bottles are missing the best before date

On another note, does anyone have any material data sheets for the different kinds of resins you can get? I’m looking to compare resins vs FDM materials such as PETG in terms of strength

Ordered yesterday, should have Photon in time for the weekend! This will be my first 3d printer, and I ended up going resin because I have a lot of gaming minis I want to print and didn't want to spend weeks tweaking profiles to get them to look decent in FDM. (Will probably get an FDM unit as well at some point.)

I'll probably set it up in the garage to keep the mess and smell outside. Do I need to worry about high heat/humidity or winter cold impacting my prints? The garage doesn't reach outdoor temps, but it can get uncomfortable out there.

i have a very noob question, i used fdm printer more times then i can count, but when it comes to the model sizes on fdm i dont have to worry much because i have plenty of space for it, the photon on the other hand doesnt have that big of a build plate, so my question is is there a way to make the files scale to the printable size of the photon and not end up with parts that wont match correctly to assemble them if i wanted to do them in the photon. thanks for any help in this and sorry to take up time of your day to help me!

Just upgraded Chitubox to 1.5 for my Photon 1st serie.

Anyone can explain what do mean the settings on the right? I suppose you can modify lifting speed and distance, but exactly retract speed, what means? I use an FDM printer where retracting speed is about nozzle retraction, but we haven't nozzles... :-)

And Anti-aliasing is actually working on this printer?

p.s. these are my settings for Elegoo Grey resin, perfectly working..

Any functional prints here? :)

For example I'm currently using my printer for printing nice simple electronic boxes for my apartment I'm currently reconstructing and will be home-automated.

All of it will be exposed to everyones eyes, so it has to be 100 % nice and smooth - not like FDM.

I am placing an order today for filament for my 3 FDM printers and I want to order a couple liters of resin for my Photon. I am brand new to resin printing so right now I just have the green that came with my Photon. I am printing miniatures for tabletop gaming so is there a brand or color that is better suited or should I just order more of the Anycubic Green?

I see a lot of people printing grey for their miniatures, is there a specific reason why? Strength, smell, base color?
