I am a goldsmith and have been using BlueCast for a year now and have had mostly satisfactory results. I have used X10 and LS. X10 Has casts really well and is very consistent. LS has about a 1 in 5 chance of casting well. Also, LS prints really nicely, but doesn't cast well. X10 doesn't print perfectly but always casts well.

However!! CCW Resinworks Easy Cast Is the freaking best resin for printing and casting that I have ever used. I just started it last week after receiving a sample bottle and the results are next level. They did most of their testing on an Anycubic Photon original. They have working configs for 30um and 50um.

First of all, the resin is really really low in viscosity, like water. Which allows for it to work at room temperature really well, but also the resin drains away so well when printing really fine things.

The burnout is only at 1350F!! The casting results are incredible.

Anyways, I felt that I should share this with anyone looking for a casting resin that is actually really really good.

Also, there is no odor.

Hi. Thanks for accepting me.

I'm new to resin 3D printing (but I have 2 Prusas ^^) and I got my Anycubic Photon from a friend who hasn't the time for it (in exchange for printing minis for him ^^)

He only gave me Druckwege Type D black and red resin, so I'm using the Google Table for the exposure times.

As I had watched some videos, Anycubic packs a sample print on the USB drive and some green Resin with the printer.

I'm wondering right now, why the print on the USB drive is rated for 3 hours, but when I use the times from the Google table my slicer (Chitubox 1.5.0) says it will take 6 hours (for the Druckwege resin the test print will take 10 hours).

Wonders me that the time is to long.

Hello again!
I finally got around to doing exposure tests for my new Dragon Resin White UV resin! Ive only ever used Anycubic Green, so this opaque white is very different.

First photo I did Slow Resin Test using 'resin-test-25u.B150.6-60.photon'

Second photo:
'resin-test-25u.B150.10-100.photon'

Although after curing for 30 minutes in my UV light they both were still sticky? Does this mean it isn't curing?
I'm not sure how to really understand these samples. Which ones look the best to you?

Hey there! Thanks for letting me join!

New to resin printing - just got a Photon S today.

Set it up as per instructions - but tests prints keep failing!

Nothing adhering to the printing plate at all. Tried 3 times to print the sample cube. All 3 times I checked on it after an hour or so and nothing at all was on the plate. Do I need longer exposure times? Do I need to re-level?

I'm using the translucent green that came with it.

Thanks in advance! I can't wait to start using it!

Hi Photonsters! We dropped the price of our fastest curing AMD-3 3D printing resin sample to 19€ + TAX. And we will deliver it for FREE. On top of that, we'll issue a refund, if you don't like this resin. There's no reason not to try it!

Five different resins, what test or test print would y’all like to see?

Resins:
Elegoo Green, Hero Resin Grey, Anycubic Eco Blu, Anycubic Green and a small sample of Siraya Blu.

I'm getting some fierce layer shift lines. I've used a few resins but this sample below is from Using ELEGOO 3D Rapid Resin LCD UV-Curing Resin 405nm Standard Photopolymer Resin . I was told that my plate might not have been tight creating 'suction' or that my build dish might not have been tight. I checked both of those and tried a new print and had similiar results.

I was also told that I might not have enough supports so I increased the supports.

Are my settings way off? They are tilted at 45 degrees or at least are supposed to be according to Chitbox which I'm using to cut and add supports. 翻譯年糕

Getting super frustrated by this. Gone through ~250ml and really only have one print I can say was good. Any ideas? I'm using Anycubic Translucent Green. I'm using the settings from the Google doc for, but I have supports that crash, or models that never stick to the plate? Not sure what all the white stuff on the prints are after I clean them? I'm assuming its the IPA (91%). I did the Flint Read method which at least got them to sorta stick to the plate. I printed the sample files and you can see it broke apart, sections where stuck to the bottom of the vat.

Does anyone have a link to a file already set up to print (supports + angle, etc) on a new from factory set up using the sample Anycubic resin that comes with the printer? Something maybe 28-32mm gaming/terrain related? Maybe something small from Fallout? I’d like to be able to use my test print since this resin is so precious!

MONOCURE RESINAWAY

I just had cause to try the Monocure™ Resinaway.

It is the bomb. I would not expect less for my money in a purpose mixed resin cleaner.

Bearing in mind the cost of the wash, I used it very sparingly in the tray to get the last of the liquid resin from the build tray. I lightly agitated the tray for ten to fifteen seconds, and watched the remaining resin release from the FEP. When I tipped the resin from the tray, it sheeted off, leaving almost nothing to clean with a soft cloth.
I used a small amount to clean the metal filter I bought for returning unused resin to the container, and the rubber funnel the filter rests in. Both were cleared without residue, which I am noticing with the IPA (I'm using 100%). I plan on offering 3D printing as a service from home, so it might be worth the cost of a purpose mixed cleaner for quick clean up between jobs. I will retry the cleaning with a similar amount of IPA ,gauge the difference. and report it in this thread. I have no affiliation with Monocure, and wasn't paid for my view on it. To be fair, it was a free sample that arrived with a largish order of resin, which was a nice surprise.
