Hello, I am new to the group I usually print FDM (for the last 5 years) but I convinced the office to buy a DLP to test... since I have the machine I did 10 prints and had no problem they all came out nicely...
my problem is to get used to the support system, the upside down print and last but not least the Anycubic Slicer that seriously needs some improvement
(I rather not use Meshmixer it freezes my computer ALL THE TIME)
My questions are:
1) the art of support. There is a site or a book where someone analyzes many printed object pointing out where supports are critical?
I prefer to place them semi-manually usually but I lack a deep technical knowledge or experience of when and where we REALLY need them
2) How to nicely clean a piece from supports any special advice I use tiny curve scissor and my hands are in pain for the last 4-5 days and almost got blinded by a piece jumping in my eye
3) Anycubic slicer: I like to work with automatic support then remove most of what I don't think is needed then add some for the final touch but it is really... really hard to work in it!!!
there is any secret command like slicing&support like in simplify3d
As you can see in the picture I got better and with TEST 4 I was able to preserve most of the detail in TEST 2 hands was floating as well as the face tentacle...after printing test 4 I notice 4-5 support were to close to the body and difficult to remove but very hard to select and move in Anycubic slicer
