I had to start Christmas ornaments sooner or later so I decided to start with this cute little snowman in a swirl. Hollowed it out so I could use the light if I want or hang it from the tree. I really love the details I get from the Photon. Model is from thingiverse.

So i was trying to make sure the LED was working right on the Photon S and started a fake print. I noticed that during the off time when it pops it from the FEP that the LED stays on.. it this normal.??

Fingers crossed ? ? ? Doing the test print on my new Photon S. So far i can say it is much quieter than the Photon.

It's hard to see the details but with summer gone I needed something to remind me of better days. So I printed a Mr. Happy Sun keychain. This was printed on the AnyCubic Photon using Hero 3D resin and as usual both products worked perfectly. Again I have to mention this Hero 3D resin has a flexible property to it that makes dropping your keys ok. ? ? ?

So thought I would share this tip with everyone. I started a print that chitubox says is 72.4ml and added exactly 100ml to the vat. This is what was left and came to 15ml. I can maybe account for 5ml loss for transferring during measure. So that is 12.6ml missing. I will be watching this to try and find an average and will post my results. Hope this helps... ?

WOW... I really love this Hero 3D resin. The colors are so vibrant and stay consistent throughout the model. It has a bit of give in the tiny areas so it doesn't break easily. Now I have Deadpool on my keychain and it's not brittle and going to break. If you're looking for great resin I would definitely recommend the Hero 3D line. So i got some new resin to try. 3D Resin Solutions Hero 3D resin. I thought i would use the Female Elven Barbarian from thingiverse. I used the Hero 3D blue and AnyCubic red for the test. I sized it to 32mm and printed it at 0.025 LH. So first i would like to say that i am not affiliated with either company and this is my own opinions. I truly love the blue color as it stays consistent through the model as where the red tends to lose its flare in some areas. The blue is a thicker resin and you don't get the bubbles that you get from the red so that makes for better printing but waiting a bit before starting the red does the same thing. The blue is harder to clean off after print due to the thickness and requires more attention which is not a problem and the red cleaned up nice. Both were cleaned with an ISO bath followed by soapy warm water. I find that both resins did a great job and i could tinker with the red to improve the clarity. So here is the results of my test. Please make your own opinions and try them out if you want. In my opinion winner goes to Hero 3D blue.
