Hello champions of The fellowship of the Photon,

I have had to put my head on something for the weekend and this came out:
It's an upgrade to the draining bracket that you don't have to set up after each print. It just sits there, attached to the build plate so that you just have to
- release the build plate from the Z carriage,
- fix it in draining position.

Just wondering if there's any follow-up to these posts. Any chance the File Validator could one day even the light output out by merging a mask (image format) with all the layers in a photon file? Would it be an option, to have such an "active calibration", so that one could use the build area edge to edge with little to no variation in light distribution?

Resin:
Photon Green

Supports:
30deg Angle threshold

55% Density
0.035mm Layer height
1.5mm Post diameter
0.5mm Tip diameter

NO Allow top connections

16 Post sides

Workflow:
Netfabb (STLs analysis and correction) + Meshmixer (parts orientation, supports automated generation, supports manual alteration and reinforcement, drainage holes generation) + Photon Slicer (validation of Meshmixer supports through unapplied automatic support generation; slicing process)

Results:
An almost imperceptible amount of z-wobbling to work on, but apart from that: gold.

One more thing concerning grayscale images: evening light output. Thoughts?
The topic has already been discussed here ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/AnycubicPhoton/permalink/1362798507198121/ ), but never under the light of grayscale masks.

Anti-aliasing and sub-pixel resolution have already been briefly analysed here ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/AnycubicPhoton/permalink/1404660366345268/ ) as two of some of the advantages connected to grayscale mask projections (see https://www.facebook.com/groups/AnycubicPhoton/permalink/1330118047132834/ ).

Just to sum up some of the related topics that came out in the group:
Grayscale seems to be a bit of a bottleneck, requiring both a firmware update and, of course, a new slicer. A search for IP infringement, possibly discrediting freedom to operate, might also be in order before anything could be done in that direction. Finally, multiple exposure masks per single layer might also provide the same benefits as grayscale images do. But at what cost? Hardware wear? Time?
