This isn’t apples for apples, but for anyone wondering roughly how the photon stacks up against the formlabs Form 2...

Photon on the left, at 0.025 with Monocure Rapid Grey.

Form 2 on the right, at 0.05 with their standard grey resin.

They both need a coat of primer to make take the lighting out of the equation.
There’s no argument that the Form 2 print shows more detail in hand, but even so, you just can’t beat the photon for the price / performance.
You’re paying 1/10 the cost of a Form 2 but the performance is a lot closer than that.

1/6 scale Plague Doctor mask for an action figure I'm working on.
Downloaded the model from thingiverse, reduced it down in scale, then thickened the walls in meshmixer because they were way too thin once reduced.
Came out really nicely for such a quick experiment.

My photon has just arrived, and I'll need to keep it in the shed outside. The issue is that temperatures get up over 50 degrees celsius (120 Fahrenheit + ) inside there.
Will this be an issue for the storage and operating of the printer? I'm assuming the resin will be ok in those temps.

Hi All, I have a photon on the way and would like to print items at 1/6 scale. For 3d models, I'm wondering what are some of the issues i'll run into when re-scaling? For instance, if an object is 1:1 scale and I'm shrinking the model down to 1/6 scale (16.666%). Thanks for any advice
