Hay Fellow Photon'ers - Just looking for a little advice on post print and removal of supports. Im getting some outstanding prints out of the machine but im having a little issues with the removal of supports - Im getting small pot marks where the support used to be or sometimes small nubs. I seem to spend a lot of time filing and cutting and shaving parts down and sometimes there are still some small dents left visible after painting. Im seeing some of the prints on here that have none of that. I wondered if there was some ancient Chinese technique that I was missing.

Im currently removing supports after cleaning in an ultrasonic cleaner, then curing and then moving to the files and knives to clean it all up (for an hour or two! LOL). Im using medium supports.

Any help or advice would be appreciated! ?

Hi Guys! Long time listener, First time caller!
Iv had my photon for a 3 months now and have had some awesome prints rolling off of it.

I print a lot of 28mm mini's and normally leave my machine going through the night. I normally set an alarm for when its done, Get up, Turn it off and then go back to bed. Sometimes when I get up in the morning, clean the print and then go to clean the vat I notice that some resin has has seeped out the vat and is now between the screen glass and the vat. I thought the first time it did it was just maybe some spillage from me being careless and I even checked the FEP for holes or gapes but nothing. I removed some of the partly cured resin with a razor blade from the glass and with some IPA it was as good as new. I have noticed it happens more and more now - A fresh set up on Sunday, Printed for most of the day (2 or 3 units of minis), went to clear down Sunday night and there it is again!!! and we are not talking about like a few drops, im talking like enough to cover the whole area the vat takes up

My FEP looks in good condition no holes, few marks and lines but from what iv seen on here these things can take a beating and keep on trucking so I dont think its that, Im thinking about changing it out to see if that makes a diff?

Could it be that im leaving the machine over night after its printed (say it stops at like 01:00 then I would not be up until like 07:00 so maybe that is leaving it to long full of resin?)

Has anyone else had this issue? and if so what was the fix? any help from the hive mind is appreciated!

Pic: Just for attention Its the second print I ever printed! lol
