Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » 用戶發文

Just a bit of fun. I've started telling folks at work about the abilities of the Photon and resin printers in general. I showed a couple of minis I'd printed to show the level of details. So, as should be expected, I get a request to print something for one of them. Not a specific mini, just the smallest one possible. So here we have Bananaman at full mini scale, 75%, 50%, 25% and 10% size. The 10% is so delicate, I can't remove the support and sadly, it didn't print the sword. Hope she's happy ;) Printed in Anycubic grey at 0.05mm layer height.

Hi guys. Slicing question for you all.

I'm using Chitubox 1.4 and I've had a couple of nice prints out of it. However, I've just sliced and printed a couple of models today and they've come out stretched in the Y and squashed in the X axes. Looking at the slicer, it seems Chitubox has turned the print 90 degrees and messed the X and Y axes in the slice. I've checked my settings are correct. Has anyone else seen this or knows a cure (apart from swapping the build size in the settings) ?

Another newbie question. And looking back through previous posts, this hasn't been answered completely so I'm a bit baffled.

Brand new printer and I plucked up the courage to try the test lattice print. Levelled fine, did the paper routine, pressed Z=0 and was asked if I wanted to continue. Pressed Yes but didn't get a beeped acknowledgement (Manual said to press OK but that wasn't an option).

Happy with that, I raised the Z axis to reinsert the resin vat, added resin and clicked on print. The Z did not move down into the vat to start printing but began where the build plate currently was. The build plate was so high out of the vat that I could see the shadow of the first base layer in the vat.

I've stopped the print and restarted with the build plate moved down into the vat so I'll see if there is any success but should I have to move the plate back down or should the printer move it to Z=0 at the start of the print ? Have I missed a step of prep ? As the file was on the USB, I assume that the GCODE has all the relevant preparation lines.

Thanks and looking forward to hearing from the

experienced so I can find out what the heck is happening :)

Another newbie joins you and is about to sign up for the Voyage of the Damned or a trip to Fantasyland, depending on the posts you read in this group :) It was a toss-up between this printer and the Elegoo Mars but it all boils down to local availability so the Photon won. To avoid repetition, I've been through the last few weeks posts here to try and learn what I can before I start. I've used FDM printers for a year or more so have some idea of the process. But that still leaves lots of space for more questions. So sorry if you've heard these before but sometimes my Google Fu doesn't work.
I've got a Photon from a UK-based Anycubic reseller and 2 litres of flesh resin in my eBay basket together with a "10Watt power/60watt UV light" UV light, 3 x 1 litre tupperware tubs with lids (IPA and water are covered), filters for the resin and some replacement FEP sheets. Already have nitrile gloves and a scraper from my Ender 3s. Oh yeah, and lots of kitchen roll and blue paper rolls for the mop up ;D
So my initial questions are :
While I think I've got all the basics covered, before I hit "checkout", is there anything I should be aware of ? I don't want to buy stuff that isn't necessary to start but want to be able to begin safely when the printer is out of the box. Seen too many newcomers in the FDM community buying upgrades before they've even tested their new printer.
2) There have been comments about keeping the UV light lower in power to allow the cure to be more constant around the model. Would the light I've chosen be okay or too much ? Not sure about how the two values: 10W power and 60W light would affect the cure time.
3) I've seen some aluminium replacement vats on sale. Does this mean the stock item is plastic ? Is it a weak point of the printer and should be replaced earlier rather than when it finally wears out ?
There may be more questions coming but thanks for any input you can offer. 翻譯年糕
