Yesterday my Photon arrived. I have been printing with FDM printers for years but this is my first resin printer and it's all new to me. Last night I pulled it out of the box and immediately installed a 4" adapter with an exhaust fan into a carbon filter. Hopefully that will eliminate any odor issues out of the gate since my print table sits below my kids rooms.
I am about to go level it and try some test prints. What I am really looking for is post printing steps. I currently don't have an ultrasonic cleaner or any UV lights. I have a bunch of IPA (about 6 bottles) so I can clean them with that for now. I also have a couple bottles of mean green that lately I have seen some videos claiming that it works much better than IPA.
So just so I am clean, what are my post-print steps? Clean print in IPA or Mean Green, rinse in (water?), and for today I will put them out in the sun for curing (15 mins?).
I will probably be picking up an ultrasonic cleaner for ease of use but I might go grab a couple of those Sistema Pickle jars for now. Also any examples of a cheap UV setup would be great.
Lastly, regardless of what I use to clean off excess resin, how often do you guys replace it? If I am washing prints in a pickle jar with IPA, how often do I replace that IPA?
