I think I may have the hang of this ?

Although that was with auto support. Think it may be a tad overkill

I’ve noticed that when I’m slicing files the estimated time is always WAY out compared to the time the printer will take.

I’ve just set a print away where the slicer estimated 36 minutes (currently still using the supplied photon slicer)
The printer is estimating 56

What causes the difference? Is there something the software is not factoring in but the printer is?
If I use different software, will I be given better estimations?

Advice wanted please :)

I would like to print this model of the Jim Henson & Kermit -
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:808250

I would rather not print it solid. I imagine the weight of it may bring it off the build platform.
I've hollowed it out, but worried about needing internal supports.
Is there any software out there I can use to create internal supports?

Any advice on printing this would be gratefully appreciated :) 翻譯年糕

After the failure of a test print, I relevelled the platform and it's printed perfectly :)

So...
It arrived today whilst I was out and about (mate was at mine to sign for it)
Got home, set it up, set the test print away before I climbed into bed.

I'm not sure if it's down to me being so tired after being awake 29 hours or what, but this is what I woke up to, stuck to the FEP.

It looks like the base has printed ok and then come off the platform after that (am I right?)

Any advice ladies and gents?

Hey :)
Thanks for letting me join!

I'm looking at getting a photon in the next week or two.
Mostly for gaming. printing terrain and miniatures for D&D.

The only place it can really go at the moment is in my office at home.
This brings me to my main question...
Fumes!

I've read a lot of conflicting reports about fumes. Some people say they should be avoided, some people say they're fine.
On a scale of 0 to "Oh my god I'm going to throw up", how bad are they?
I've been looking into it and someone has designed a replacement panel for the back which you can attach a length of dryer hose and an extractor to, so this is always an option since it will be placed pretty much right next to a window.
