So I was in this ancient Nordic barrow and being chased by a Draugr, but managed to snatch this shiny bauble on the way out. Might be just enough to afford a Sweet Roll from the inn and a new hunting bow from Warmaiden's.

Just pulled this off the printer and it's getting a suntan. Norse brooch, plan on painting it gold and then practise applying a wash to bring out the highlight. Should look great next to my Dohvakin Funko!

First figure mega print, found a couple of printing errors where I missed a support, but all looks usable.

Scaling question, in the Photon software or Chitubox, is there any way to measure how large a piece will approximately turn out? I know you can increase/decrease scale on the model, but for trying to hit certain scales (1:87, 1:100, 1:144, etc) I'm not sure how to compensate/measure with the built in tools. For mini figure's and vehicles I'd love to be able to match certain ratios.

First hollow piece attempt.

Used 1.5mm thick walls, hollowed out by Chitubox, printing in Anycubic Green resin, 6 seconds on, 2 off, 10x60sec bottom layers. Printed at about a 15-20 degree angle.

Found out 1mm drain holes do prevent bubble and suction issues (holes at the 4 corners in the back, and 2 on the top sides (lowest point of the build not visible), but I still lost a fair amount of resin as the surface tension wouldn't allow it to drain out of the piece when I pulled it out of the printer this morning, and came out instead in the alcohol bath. The smooshed in face section I'm thinking came from not enough support inside (perhaps should have used the automatic infill/support option), or made the walls slightly thicker.

Any other suggestions to make the hollow transition better/easier? :)

Print #3 success! Tried a couple figures this time, had a devilish time making sure the bits and bobs were all supported (like guns, cloth, etc) and had to hand scan the sliced file for orphaned lowest pieces that wouldn't print otherwise. The level of detail is simply incredible on the resin prints.

Next hurdle is learning how to hollow out items without getting suction issues (have to allow bubble/drainholes) so I am not using so much resin.

Another successful print! Angling the model took way longer, but no issues with suction or separation from the build plate.

Finally a success in the 5th printing! Tilting a print on an angle worked like a champ and no more separation from the build plate due to suction issues.

Any idea what is causing the slight but noticeable every 10 layers line pattern ? It's nothing major but an interesting and repeating pattern.

So, noobie question. Two failed prints in a row, both approximately the same layer (first one shown). Third failed print since getting the machine today and I'm getting frustrated now.

I thought the last time was caused by too low of bottom layer exposure, so I upped it almost double, but I keeping finding the build stuck to the bottom of the resin vat. Working theory now is the the working surface area is getting too close to the raft surface area and the suction is peeling it off as the model isn't hollow.

Is this why I keep seeing figures and builds tilted at about a 60 degree angle so it limits the cross section working area so the suction isn't too bad? I was trying to limit the Z height for a faster print.

Anycubic Photon just came in today. First print of the included demo was a failed to adhere to building plate bust. Cleaned up, swept the resin vat for bits, reset the Z=0 slightly tighter (had to pull the paper to move it versus just feeling resistance.

Next print much shorter so I can monitor, increased bottom layers to 10 with a exposure of 80 seconds versus 50, increased the per later by 2 seconds and the settle in-between by 1.

Any other feedback on how to address?
