Resin exposure tests are interesting, I ran a photon resin calibration test, if I'm reading it correctly the sweet spot seems to be between columns 6 & 7 (12 -14 seconds), yet when I ran the Ameralabs Town Calibration prints I much prefer the 8sec exposure - the details just seem so much crisper, thanks for the heads up on this Frank Martinez Jr

I bought an original Photon just before Christmas and am reaching out for some help with how to read the Resin Exposure test strips.

I printed 2 resin exposure test strips using the Anycubic AquaBlue, one @ 50u (0.05mm I think) and the other @20u, I'm trying to understand the results and compare them to the resins spreadsheet in the Photonsters page.

When reading the resin exposure instructions it says to start from the top & find the first well formed circle, then move to the bottom and find the last visible circle (in any column I guess) and then move right until the circle clogs and then move left 1 & thats the sweet spot, so looking at the 50u test strip would I be correct in saying the top 1st well formed circle is in col. 4 and the best bottom visible is in Col 8 but then more left to Col 6 (or maybe 5) where its kinda not clogged? so that makes the sweet spot say 5 for a 10sec exposure? - but the 20u, which I gather is a thinner layer, seems to have a sweet spot of 7 for a 14sec. exposure but I would have thought it would be less than the 50u as its a thinner layer and thus would need a lesser exposure? Or am I reading the test strips wrong?
And as a further part to that, I tried to print a tank which has some supports with a couple of holes through it (circled in red), when I look at the support the holes do not appear to go al the way through, could this be due to overexposure (14sec @ .02 - Anycubic AquaBlu

TIA for any help.

Hi All,

Bought a Photon just before Christmas and I'm hoping to get a little help with a minor issue I have with a test print I just finished earlier today, I used chitubox and cloned the item, printed one flat to the build plate and the other angled using (auto)supports, when I looked at the prints they both have a slight bow, I'm using Anycubic blue resin and I've got the layer height at 0.05, 10 bottom layers for 80 secs & the remainder @ 8 secs, once the print finished I used "Methylated Spirits" to wash the models, dried and put them outside to 'cure' (overcast day) for about 15 mins. - its about 25 * 50 *3mm and has a slight (unintentional) bow along the length, help... - ohh also I shook the resin bottle (as advised) and can see what appears to be squashed bubbles where the prints would have been against the build plate - not sure it thats normal or not
