Seems okay for the prize but the detail wont be as good as the regular Photon. (Which is where I started a month ago)

I've seen that as well being not as high resolution but still pretty good prints overall

Quality is really good. Havn't seen any difference in quality. But my screen died after a week of usage, will get a new one from anycubic.

The zero has a smaller build plate. I was thinking about getting the zero to save money. But I decided to go with the regular photon because of the bigger build plate. And it was only like $40 more.

Chris Wilson currently it's 70 more and that's US, ordering direct. With coupon code i can get the printer for 139 US vs 209. If i buy it from Amazon is 379 CAD. So all in all its about 100 more while it's on sale for 239 instead of 279.

Chris Denyer I paid $220 for my photon on ebay. Vs the $180 I was seeing the zero. Just ordered mine a few days ago.

Chris Denyer nice. I probably should have looked up the website then. Lol. I just assumed they'd be shipping front China so I went with the one I found on eBay from the US.

Maybe consider the Phrozen sonic mini? In my opinion it’s just all around better. Also if you use their resin we are talking 1 second layer print times. The screen last a lot longer too.

Under no circumstances consider the Zero to be a viable option for purchase. Any other option you're considering is better value for money

That^^^^. And avoid the Longer Orange 10 as well. It sucks pretty good. I made that mistake.

Chris Wilson lol they do ship from us as primary and backup is China for our area. Sounds like may actually be Canadian Wearhouse as well.

Dane Bennett i haven't heard anything good about the longer Orange either, wasn't on my radar at all.

I had a coupon for $70 off so I got it for $99 it was my 1st resin printer and honestly i love it!!! Great quality easy to use I would 100%recommend it but now I want another one..... so be prepared for that problem

Chris Denyer yea before resin I had 4 ender 3 and loved them! I still use them to print terrain but can't beat a resin for minis

Chris Denyer yep! Do it! Also start looking for IPA now tho.. you need that to clean prints and with everything going on you can't get it. Acetone works but it's not ideal

Jolene Sweeney this is where the water washable stuff comes in. Hearing mixed results though about it.

Chris Denyer true I haven't tried it but next time I order resin I'll most likely get the water washable one. But a 1000ml of resin goes a long ways for 28mm minis.... lol

Chris Denyer nah, only about £60-70 cheaper then the current Photon mate, to my eyes, it's not worth the downgrade. Get a Phrozen sonic mini for a couple quid more ?

Micheal Fuller yep i understand that lol this is one reason why i thought i would ask. It seems that people who don't have it don't like it but people who do have it think it's good.

Chris Denyer people that have the zero might only have the zero so they don’t know what better is.

Chris Denyer what i would really suggest is getting a photon and wash bundle. I have 2 photons and 3 wash systems and it’s game changing honestly.

I've been struggling to get successful prints from my Zero, but I'm new to resin printing so I can't tell if it's user error. Seeing this thread makes me think I chose the wrong model.

Mine is on the way, I'll share some results and look around for help in case I mess something up ?

Jonathan Basseri what issues are you having? I'm new as well but my printer worked straight out of the box no isses...

As someone who recently moved from a FDM printer to a SLA printer too... I can confirm a few things:

1) Printbed alignment!
2) Base layer needs a different setting than higher layers.
3) Make sure base layer sticks.
4) Orientation matters.
5) Supports are there to make your print succeed.

My base layer is good at sticking to the build plate. First test cube partially failed halfway through and the next one broke off halfway through.

My current plan is to point a space heater at the printer (it's out in the garage) and avoid auto supports entirely

The Anycubic test cube should be printable without supports.
My resin printer is in my boilerroom with about a steady 18 Celcius.

From what I've been reading, Opaque resin needs a bit of longer exposure time compared to Translucent ones... (from the same brand)

Edit:
I was able to print the testcube with Anycubic Translucent Green with the "default" settings from Chitubox.
Though for my mini's I've bumped the base layer exposure because I had a fail with base-layer adhesion to buildplate.

Edit 2:
If you've leveled the bed, empty the VAT and flick it gently with your finger, the sound it makes should be about 300Hz - 325Hz (use a spectrometer app on your phone)

I got a zero and 1 litre of resin for £105 so at that price it was a no brainer.

Okay, at that price, with resin, defo worth it haha

Good little machine, unless you intend to print minis. The lower res screen makes them not so great.

I have to disagree quality comparision between zero and regular photon on epic Scale minis. We have slight difference

shit, it looks like crap. I didn habe any idea why it looks so and how to avoid id. I would recommend asking anycubic support about it- it looks like smht is wrong with your printer

My LCD has damaged sections on the side, Anycubic are currently replacing it. However figured these lines were the 0.1mm XY res.

It is a good deal if you are low on funds and just starting out.
