Is there a way to add gcode to the photon file?

I want to make a break at a defined layer and then print on.

Any hint would be great.

Hello everyone.. now with cencored pictures so no one feels stepped on.. i have a little weird issue.. my prints are fine, but Everytime i print, theres a small surrounding layer of my print on the bottom of the fep.. on the raft it can be seen too, as the "ring" around the actual raft.. its pretty annoying!

Is this due to too much exposure time? I have minor flaking on small fine areas, but seemed to me it was caused by a piece of dust i found on the screen..

Hi! I finally got my a photon. The first prints where perfect but then this started to happen! I I've tried to find something about the issue but I come up blank. If you kvow what's wrong please help ?

So I finally got around to upgrading my Photon S firmware to v5.0.2 this week and it has been a real game changer. I'm amazed I'm not seeing more people chatting about it on here. Things it has impacted for me:

1. The vat peel function is amazing. See pic. Instead of pulling out the vat, I just wait 45 seconds, grab the corner, and pull the residue in nice neat layer straight out of it. I don't even pull the vat out of the machine. It makes those inevitable print failures a lot less painful and time-consuming.

2. Enabling .photon file format has finally given me (roundabout) AA support in Chitubox. In Chitu I use the Photon printer profile modded with photon S settings and can slice the files just fine with AA. Note--I tried the configuration trick to get the Photon S profile to show the antialias settings and that doesn't work--the sliced file is still the same size and not the bigger antialiased one.

3. Photon file validator!! I've always been sad I couldn't use this... but now I can just output in .photon and go about it. The software side of things is the only downside I've ever considered to the S model--I like the higher wattage lamp and dual rail. Now I've started running everything through it.

4. Proper resin exposure test. I did both the RERF anycubic stl file and one a member here uploaded to thingiverse (more traditional flat style one) and both confirmed my settings were correct. But it was great to have another way to properly confirm that. Future resins will be much less troublesome as well.

Downsides - I've heard of some people having trouble opening files but I haven't run into that. The only thing different I've noticed is the first print I did--testing a known good file (.photons, sliced in chitu) that I just printed before the firmware update--printed fine but the print time estimate went from 13h to 16h. I'm not sure if it took that long because I didn't come back right on time and didn't run a separate timer. ?‍♂️
