So is the best way to use Photon Validator to fix islands just to slice as a .photon and then go back and "re-slice" as a .pws or something?

That was fun to print. Second time was successful. Thanks for all the good advices on the setting and help for adding the supports.

Was fun to use iPhone light underneath the figure to get the last shot!!!

Hello guys, i am new in 3D printing. This is my 3rd print and it went badly. Seems like bottom didnt stick to platform. I cleaned before very well with IPA99,9%. Any suggestions? Thank you to all.

btw: Photon S, their green resin. Temperature all the time 25°C

After two failed prints due to not adhering to the build plate - I went full overkill on the starting exposure and placed a raft on the test model.

The feeling of accomplishment was short lived when I almost immediately dropped it snapping it off the base...

Anyway, it's done and the model looks great in the black resin.

Looking forward to using it more and this group looks like it will be a valuable resource going forward. Cheers

Brand new out of the box this happened. I contacted anycubic customer support and after having me check that the lcd was plugged in and the firmware was up to date sent me a replacement mobo. Customer support on that end was great and fairly easy.
Is this really a motherboard issue, though? I'd hate to have waited almost three weeks for the mobo to ship from China, to have it be the wrong part, since I'd like to print some stocking stuffers for Christmas.

Update: the motherboard was bad. After just over 3 weeks from contacting support, I got a new one in the mail and got it going. The prints are great now, and everything is working flawlessly.

Hey All, been having a few issues with Monocure Grey being overly brittle/soft (kind of hard to describe) when it is just out of the printer. While this is great for removing supports it tends to be problematic when fine details came appart when just rinsing in ipa. Settings are 8s exposure @0.03. Take note that once post cured the parts are just fine and no longer tacky as you may expect with a dud batch or resin.
