Each resin ends up with different properties beyond just final appearance, most notably strength. Each resin also requires different exposure settings. If your intention is to paint the final product and you don't care about the color of the print, I recommend finding a resin that you can achieve the most detail with the shortest exposure times that ends up with a strength that meets your needs.

Doug Bowman so, for standard DnD minis, which would be best? Most of those minis has a little flex to them.

Ernest Sandridge Ill I use Anycubic green for any of my prints that I don't care about the color on. I've found that I get good detail, good exposure times, the price per bottle isn't terrible, and it's readily obtainable (I can get it same day from Am azon if I run out and need it in a hurry). Everyone eventually has their go-to resin they swear by, Anycubic green fits my needs the best (until I find a resin that's better ;) )

Mostly color.
Son colors cure slightly faster but when most people start their machine and walk away it's not saving much time.

Doug Bowman Anycubic green has great detail, I won't argue that... but I found it a bit too brittle for my use. Elegoo Grey ABS was really good, and I've really liked Dragon Fast.

Michael Pescuma it's the best of what I've had the opportunity to try so far. I've been eyeballing trying out some of the Elegoo resins and I think the "hero resin" (might be wrong on the name). I've avoided the opaque resins so far as they seem to have more issues with light scattering than the translucent resins do.

Doug Bowman Can always mix a little monocure flex into your Green to give it a bit more resistance to dropping and snapping. I did that with my elegoo for a while. Like 20%flex/80%green.

As far as color that is a true statement. For the most part collar only matters if you're not planning to paint it. That being said, different resins have different levels of flexibility and brittleness which is probably a more important factor if you are planning to paint them or even handle them frequently.

My first look is that its a DLP printer and not MSLA, they also seem to put more time into the software for jewerly mode? Idk, it seem overpriced but there hopefully is "something"

dlp projector less maintainance. only consume bulb and fep. high price machines usually cost less on maintenance

Photon is also a DLP printer. The big difference with this new one is that it's got a 4k resolution LCD, not 2k. But it steps at 25 microns, not 10. So better X Y resolution, possibly worse Z resolution, depending on what you print with your Photon.

Didn't see if it's a monochrome screen, which speeds up printing time and increases LCD life.

It's a DLP printer. Any LCD printer is. Some use the LCD as a mask to block light from a different source, some use the LCD itself as the light source. Both are Digital Light Projection printers.

It's certainly not SLA, since it has no lasers. S tereo lithography printers use 2 lasers that alone can't cure the resin, but where they intersect, the combined light causes curing. They are also way more than $200. lol
