So..... My 1/7 Bell 206 cockpit - I designed, and 3d printing...
Wait for it.... I initally started doing this with resin BUT multipart-functional assembly I was struggling with shrinkage and dimensional accuracy (even when using SirayaTech)

So..... went back to FDM and switched the nozzle to 0.15 and layer height 0.05mm - printed with Prusament ASA and Extrudr PLA NX2.

YES YES....I know, it's not Photon.
But point is, I started my printing journey with resin and kind of ended up stuck in the dogma - any small detailed prints, USE resin.
It's nice to see you can really push the limits of printing on FDM and get amazing detail as well - minimum loss of fidelity! And benefit it - parts are lighter and stronger :)

Moral of the story, be pragmatic :D

Considering getting a ultrasonic cleaner. Price range seems pretty massive from about $50 to $500 bucks. Would love some suggestions from the group based on actual use experience.

Is this enough supports guys?
The preview in layer by layer looks like it should be able to print the upper gap without support but I'm not so sure

guys, any idea what could be reason?
i have already printed some parts on this settings, now having issue
anycubic black, 0,04/9sec, part is 40.2deg tilt.
wall thickness 2mm
dead pixels? resin cured to fep blocking light go through?

Hi folks!

I'm trying to print out geometric shapes. Tried with: Auto orienting and supporting in PrusaSlicer and then sliced it in Chitubox. Then wash it in Ethanol, brushing it with a toothbrush, breaking apart the supports and then curing it. The result was a cactus with some broken Edges where the supports were placed. The upper parts were perfect. Would it be better printing geometric shapes direct on the buildplate and set the bottom exposure to the same setting like the exposure time?

I'm curious, How would you guys print it?

A few months ago I have started to make the HR Geiger's Birth Machine sculpture. Today, I had a little bit of time to finish it. It became a partially job for Photon. The big gun is actually job for an FDM.

Hey all, I have been researching times for curing small prints and I see from 30 seconds to 30 minutes!

What is ok? My prints do not feel sticky when I put them in for curing so that is not a good gauge.

Can I over cure them so they might be weakened structurally?

Thanks for your opinions!

PS, I am using the standard "nail" cure station that is popular.
