Skunkworx update. X-20 program progressing with some success. Today we get a small assembly proposal and assembly demonstration. Should all the designs pass the manifold test it moves on to the slicer and one more important step closer to test print then on to production.

Has anyone had any experience with Z wobble on the Photon S? I can't seem to get it sorted... I've checked the tightness of all bolts and adjusted the bearings. Any other suggestions?

Hey everyone, I got my Photon about a week ago and I have been having troubles. The printer keeps restarting after a layer or two. The screen goes black, and then after a second it shows the startup screen. I can’t seem to find any pattern. It will happen with a file and then it will succeed. Any ideas?

I have a puzzle to figure out. Photon S with it's parallel LED, normal FEP right next to an Epax X1-DJ (newest parallel LED, standard epax non-fep). Exact same resin at the same temperature. Exact same .photon file, since both machines can read that. Attached is a shot of the settings.. both printing at .02 layer height and 6s exposure, which works with this resin in both machines. I press start at the same time on both printers. When the EPAX is done, the photon S still has 3 hours left to go. Why?

Huh. Well, apparently the USB reader on the Photon is a wee bit picky. It didn't like my 4gig Sandisk cruzer, but was fine with the 32gig Kingston. And the stick that came with it. Since I don't see a reason to use the 32 gig Kingston, anyone have any recommendations about some 8 or 16 gig sticks that work well?
