Has anyone ever used resin to fill a shape on another print? I have a box I made on my fdm printer and it has a heart in the lid. I was thinking of taping off one side and filling it with resin which I would harden with uv. Any thoughts?

what do you all use for your uv lamps? any good ones on amazon? i know that there are some..but it's hard to find just the right one..

any help would be appreciated..i need one from US so i can cure my stuff inside..

Hey folks - I have a problem with my Photon.

I was trying to home it earlier today and had already gotten it firmly pressed against the paper.

But when I pressed the Up arrow, I could feel the motor turning / vibrating but the build plate was not going up.

I've done a fresh eeprom, and also the dead z-axis fix to no avail.

What would be a good next step?

I have no idea how it may have happened, but the acrylic block that sits under the LCD screen on my printer is cloudy and affecting prints. Tried cleaning it off and just ended up scratching it. Anyone know where you can get a replacement? Reached out to AnyCubic support about this too but they're off until February 1st

When people are hollowing models? How accurate are you with placing supports inside the model.

I've been using the Photon File Validator and some of those islands inside the model are damn near impossible to support.

Anyone have any luck adding smooth-on pigment to a clear resin? Would be cool to make a variety of colored parts and only need clear resin.

First of all greetings to all. I am new to the group and this is my first post. In September I bought an anycubic photon. The prints were perfect but on occasion the figures on the edges failed. I decided to make the twin slide Z slide from Jackson products. I asked for it and it took one week to arrive. In this waiting time the Z axis began to fail, it did not rise, the engine was blocked making noise at times. sometimes on the touch screen I could not see the layer that was printed, sometimes the printer was auto reset. I thought it was the Z-axis step motor , I had others and I tried them and it didn't work either, so I thought it was the motherboard that failed. I bought a new one and put the twin rail Z that had arrived to me, I printed 2 or three things and the truth is that the upgrade is wonderful, but after 3 impressions the same thing happens again. sometimes in the first layer, sometimes in the 4, sometimes in the 2 the motor is blocked, and the Z axis does not rise, sometimes it resets itself. Can anyone give me an idea of what the problem may be? I have tested the latest firmware on the anycubic page, I have tested the AC_4.2.18 firmware and the same happens in everyone. Will it be motor? Motherboard? Maybe the motor driver?
