Looking for opinions, do you think any cubic green would be too brittle for doing gears in a model locomotive?

Hi all, I did the resin test from Thingiverse for the Photon S. It suggested a 6s curing time. Here's a test print I did with manual supports. (I goofed while placing them and somehow they got reverted from 3D Printing Pro's settings back to default and I didn't notice, so taking off the supports was a PIA and damaged the print. I had to sloppily add some resin in damaged areas.)
However I'm going to re-do the supports now that I've done this successfully once, with the proper support settings. Do you think I should lower my curing time? Does the print seem overexposed? This is 0.03 at 6s, 60s base, 8 bottom layers. (Heroforge mini at 170% size.) 翻譯年糕

Two questions:

1) Would anyone care to share their settings for Anycubic Grey on the OG Photon? I am currently doing 14s/layer, but feel like I am loosing detail. I dropped it to 12, but I didn't gain much detail and I started losing supports. I should mention it's probably a little cooler in the room than would be optimal, if that affects things.

2) At what point in the finishing process is the resin safe to touch without gloves? After the IPA bath, or not until after the UV curing is done?

Thanks in advance!

Yet Another XP Finder Question...but with a small twist

I have a Qidi Shadow 5.5 S. It is powered by a Chitu main board, just as the Photon.

I ran the XPFinder scripts, which worked perfectly. Once. Since running them, I've been having many issues: Z not homing, or homing incorrectly; "air printing", etc.

I expect that I'm actually dealing with a faulty controller, or corrupted firmware, based on my issues, but I need to explore this side of things, too.

With the Chitu firmware bring closed source, I have no real way to confirm original configuration, and that the XPF gcode to reset to print mode is providing compatible settings.

So, my question (s):

1) is there any way to extract current settings and values from a stock Chitu-based printer? Anything like Marlin's M503?

2) is there any information on what gcodes work and are meaningful with Chitu?

3) anything else, any *where* else, I can look for info on Chitu firmware, configuration settings info, or even a resource for uncompiled source?

TIA!

I've recently been doing lots of parts that needed to be built directly on the build plate. The prints were all perfect. Getting them off the build plate in one piece...not so much.

So i thought i'd give this a try: buffing the plate to a glossy shine with a buffing wheel and buffing compound. long story short, the parts began to remove with ease each and every time.

So someone asked me to print this model. Normally I would print them flat on the print bed, but since they have details on both sides this isn't an option. Any tips on how to orient it?
