So this is by far the largest thing that I have ever printed. It's an engine block business card holder. Why is it starting to separate like this? It's hollowed out with holes in it. Exposure time was 10 seconds per layer. Is that just a symptom of something being too large, or the walls too thin? I believe I hollowed it to 2mm to try and save some resin since this was such a large thing. The rest of it came out pretty well. Just some separation at the bottom corner.

My first post! I've been lurking and all of the advice shared here has been super helpful.

I was recently hired to recreate a character from the Spiderwick Chronicles movie for one of the authors. I delivered 11" tall FDM printed versions in 2 different poses. This smaller 5.25" version is just for me and was made on my recently acquired Photon.

Sorry, but I cannot share the STLs.

It was modeled in Zbrush Core and then posed in Blender. This was only my 3rd model in Zbrush so I still have a lot to learn. The extremely high poly count made it difficult to pose in Blender, but I managed by using a lower poly model and then copying the influence weights.

As you can see, the detail is quite good. I used Elegoo Grey and the settings directly from the community chart. Chitubox for the slicer.

I thought I'd pass along something strange. I have a 16GB USB drive that's been working perfectly for months. I added a model to it last week and it printed perfectly. I added a new one on Dec 31 and it would print the first layer, lock up then reboot. I deleted, re-sliced at different sizes, layer heights, etc. several times with the same result. Other files were still printing fine. I then noticed that this file pushed the total file size on the thumb drive to over 8GB. Thinking this might be an issue I deleted all but a couple small files and tried again with no success. I then printed the smallest file, 1/56 scale tools for tanks, and then printed the new model again. This time it worked. I have no idea what caused this so if anyone has an idea I'd love to hear it.

Set a print up overnight, it finished, this morning woke up and went to remove the buildplate but dropped it into the vat...

Ended up piercing the FEP, thankfully neither the prints nor the screen were damaged.
