I noticed with the vat in place the FEP does not touch the screen. That is not good, the light will scatter before reaching the FEP and then the resin. I looked with a ruler you can see the gap so I measured the gap at 0.07 to 0.1mm which is a lot when the layer height is half of that. I will machine the outer edge of the vat so it is the FEP touching the floor of the photon. This maybe worth checking if anyone has problems with dimensional accuracy, adhesion to the top plate or curing times.

Hi guys
I have been printing miniatures with 85% anycubic resin and 15% monocure flex 100. Im pleased because it does increase the resistance a lot but I wanted to compare options. Has anybody added Siraya Tenacious to resin to increase the miniatures resistance? Would it be better than the flex?

I regularly happen, that on the bottom side of my prints I lose details (yes, there are a lot of supports, and they could have been the first problem, but I'm newbie and I just used the chitubox auto supports). Anyway also the other parts of the model (not in photo) looks something like "fluid", like all the details are smoots, or like the model have been melted.
I followed exposition time found online (resin is Wanhao clear) so 15 sec, but what should I do for have less "melt" look a like prints?
And pls, can you give me some advice on how to put support on a file like this wings?
The file I found on thingiverse, so if you need it i can share the link! Thanks (sorry for my bad english)

Just wondering, has anyone experimented with tree supports in Photon Workshop 2? They look like they'd be quite effective although I'd use a different program to orient and arrange my print tray.

First thank you for letting me join the group

I’ve looked on the photonsters site as well as in the group and I haven’t found anything for my problem.
I’m also not entirely sure what the issue is.

I recently bought a Photon S (less then a month old) and I’ve printed maybe 6 or 7 small models on it and it’s worked out great so far.

I started a print last night and when I checked on it this morning it had failed to stick to the plate so I shut it all down and cleaned it up and reset everything to try it again but this time it started making a grinding noise when I started the print.

I was told maybe it wasn’t leveled but I relevled it again and same thing was going on, I even removed the build plate and tested it and the sound continued to happen.

Does anyone with more experience then me have any idea of what this issue is and how I could go about fixing it or am I going to have to send it in to get fixed?

I’m just about to start a 3 week vacation from work so I was excited to have some fun with this during the holidays....just my luck right.
I tried to attach the video through Facebook but it kept failing so I attached a link to the video instead.

LCD screen needed replacement. So I bought an LCD screen and installed. Error T_100. Which means the LCD can't be found.... Damn. So I bought another LCD screen from a different supplier. And again...... Error T_100.

Got in touch with Anycubic and they tell me to install 4.2.5 firmware. So I did. Same results.

Has anybody got any other tips for me to try?

Can anybody who successfully changed their LCD reply with a photo of the lcd connected to the motherboard?
Since the LCD can be connected two ways, I'ld like to see how a proper connection looks like.
