We’re all trying to find alternatives with the shortage of IPA. Best I’ve found is Flash All-Purpose cleaner, heated to 50c in an ultrasonic cleaner. Still needs a decent scrub with a toothbrush but does a decent job.

Observe the obvious safety things. Don’t heat high, use in ventilated room etc etc.

This may be a dumb question but... Since IPA is impossible to find right now....Has anyone tried ammonia free Windex in an ultrasonic bath to clean prints? It does a great job on the vat so..

Post-IPA I clean all my prints with demineralized water + Windex (equivalent) in an ultrasonic cleaner.

For those struggling to get IPA, ive just bought 5lt of Gunk engine degreaser online for £8.99 and it works just as well as IPA, not as well as acetone but doesnt smell anywhere near as bad.

Press on the fep from underneath a little and use your plastic scraper ton gently scrape it off

Aaron Dunkerly I tend to use my finger nail through a glove... just to bairly get under it and peel it up while slowly sliding a plastic scraper thing under it

I clean the FEP off and then give it a bit then flick the FEP from the bottom and it usually dislodges it from the FEP.

In my experience? Spend 15 minutes with a plastic scraper cursing the name of whatever gods come to mind.

This is how I clean my dirty IPA: First let it sit in the sun or your UV lamp for several hours, this will create a cured soggy blob of resin, then you shake op the bottle so it is not a blob anymore (this will help running through the filter), next put 2 pieces of ply in you funnel, and pour the mixture in, let it drip for a few minutes until only drops come out, then take the 2 pieces of ply and shape it into a ball, and gently squeeze the remainder of the IPA out, this will leave you with maximum recovery of your IPA :)

I'm just going the same at the moment but using 190 micron paint filters. Seem to get all the bits out. Where did you get the funnel/tray rig from btw? I'd find that immensely useful! :-)

Just got a bottle of ipa. Checked Walmart app and said it was in stock. Went there the moment it opened. Lady said she just put it on the shelf so the Walmart app has up to minute stock update. Limit one per customer.

I cleaned out the vat of my Photon Zero with IPA and tested the FEP tension with a spectrometer app. I was getting about 450 Hz. I've seen people recommend lower, but since the vat is smaller, higher frequency would make sense to me. Does anybody know of recommended numbers for the Photon Zero?
