Hi Guys 'n' Gals,

i am at the end of my knowledge and seeking some help from the swarm.

Part of my print does not stick to the plate. I tryed to relevel a couple of times, changed the FEP and so on.

The Resin exposure test was without any problems.

Exposure time was 80S for the fist 6 Layers (tried 60s before that).

Any Ideas or suggestions?

So what's the difference between a Photon, Photon S, and Fauxton? Buying my first 3D printer soon, want to make a good choice.

To my understanding, Photon S is dual-rail compared to the Photon, which makes it print more reliably/high quality.

I've gathered that the Fauxton / new Photon is also dual rail, has a plastic body instead of steel, the same price point, and different software compatibility.

Is Fauxton basically the Photon S with cosmetic changes, and cheaper? Are the software compatibility issues going to matter for someone who's never used anything else? And when are new "Photons" purchased from Anycubic going to be Fauxtons instead of "classic Photons?"

Question about curing... I ordered this elegoo resin. Does it feel rubbery when cured? I first ordered the standard green photon resin which cured in ~30min in my UV bucket. It felt as solid as/shattered like glass. I’ve cured my first print now with the elegoo for 2 hours and it’s still not as solid feeling. Very bendy and I’m concerned to touch it. Maybe my curing bucket isn’t strong enough for this resin?

What adhesive is used around the edge of the glass that the LCD screen sits on? I have the glass but it did not come with the adhesive.

I'm looking to pre-mix some Elegoo Grey resin and some Monocure Flex. (I find that the Elegoo Grey on its own is a bit too brittle for miniatures, so I am adding in some Flex to make it more... flexibile.)

But I want to make sure I can get a consistent mix, so I am picking up a small kitchen scale to measure by weight. Unfortunately that also means I need something to store the mixed resin in. I'm having trouble finding something to store it in. On Amazon I'm finding many "UV-blocking" glass jars for herb, but I don't know if those block the correct UV ranges to not mess with resin.

Does anyone know? Does anyone have any good recommendations for something in which to store resin?

As one of my last prints on the Anycubic Photon Classic I had to push the limits for the printer and the Harzlabs resin.

0,6mm thick try-in before laser sintering the CAD:ed core for this 12 unit TISP.

# Harzlabs Dental Sand A3 (50um, 11s per layer).

Amazing!

The Photonsters.org movement began as an offshoot of the platform that the Anycubic Photon presented. It was an open, inviting platform that allowed for innovation based on a fairly inexpensive resin printer design. With the Release of the Photon - S, Anycubic left the entire Photon classic behind using new hardware that was incompatible with all of the innovation done by Photonsters and others in this group. We’ve seen a number of other innovative designs come in to pick up where the Photon - S failed with the Epax X1 filling in all of the checkboxes for what the Photon - S should have been.
Without any announcement, Anycubic has now changed the Photon Classic to use their proprietary motherboard, making even the classic incompatible with the open Photonsters movement. We understand companies must innovate and change, but making changes like this without plenty of time for the community to know, and drastically changing the design specs of a printer without telling the community is a poor way to support your community.
Because of this, we are changing the Anycubic Support Group into something more inclusive. While we have never excluded other printers, and in fact have embraced other printers in the past, we are now reflecting that in our name. Instead of declaring we are an Anycubic Photon group, we are going to be a Resin Printer Owner’s group. The name will change, but in reality, nothing else will. We will continue to help others. We will continue to support Photon Classics and any other resin printers that we can as a community. We will continue to be as inclusive as possible.
