So I have a legal question as well as a technical question and an offer depending on the answers to the 2 questions....

If I buy a large model from a creator that needs to be cut into multiple parts to be printed and then glued together after paying can I give the model files to someone else for free on the agreement that they cut it and support it and slice it properly since I dont really know how to do that to a model? And is that even possible to cut up a model and then get a fully ready model to copy onto a thumb drive and click print? Thanks for your answers

Cant get Photon Validator to work on my Photon S. I downloaded 2.0 and when i try to open my file nothing happens. Then i read that version 1.5 works better for the Photon S so i uninstalled everything and reinstalled with 1.5 but when i click open file and select my sliced file i get nothing??? Am i missing a step?

Hi guys

can anyone recommend a method to make these prints even more transparent (or as much as possible)? I used the Elegoo translucent resin.

Could anyone even tell me why some pieces are not exactly straight but slightly inclined? I printed the pieces as images, rotated.

Tips for the next prints?

Thank you very much

This is my first print after the test cube. I present to you: The invisible Goblin!!!! I cannot believe the amount of details. Pure joy to print. You can see all the small details around the left eye!!! But you have to use your imagination a bit!!!

I'm not angry cause this is only for fun. I'm getting experience and it is ok to fail.

Printed with Elegoo clear resin. Bottom Exposure time 80 - Bottom Layer 8 - Layer thickness 0.05 - Normal exposure 5 - Off time 2.

The figure was lying flat on his back with not inclination. Will try to slice again and have at least 45 degrees on the position of the figure to print.

So I did a quick print and used a rattle can primer + paint like ten days ago. The thing is in a climate controlled part of the house so it’s 68-70 degrees but the paint is still tacky. I used grey elegoo and cured it (maybe extra cured) and let it sit for two or three days before I sprayed it. Any ideas?

So, last night my printer started making a sound like a dying moose when it is printing. The up motion is fine and the beginning of the down motion is fine. It's at the end of the down motion it makes the sound. Being a fairly mechanically inclined sort, It "sounds" like something need to be greased... Has anyone ran into this? What needs to be greased? Please don't tell me it's a motor problem...

should the tempered glass cover on the front of https://www.amazon.com/ELEGOO-Resolution-Protection-LS055R1SX04-Compatible/dp/B07X586JHK/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=ELEGOO%205.5%27%27%20Inch%202K%20LCD&qid=1575284714&s=industrial&sr=1-2&fbclid=IwAR3frC7ndvGPRJS5GvY5eFCRL59i5Qg1rRY_3MmHYVct5m42Ujm_0_1cvqU flex?

got one of these from a supplier swapped it into my photon, small object print ok bu anything larger that presses down on the screen I am getting flaking on layers I tried doing a test print om a larger print that covers more are of the screen and I start getting repeat issues with flaking..
When I try using my old LCD with light showing through on it my print comes out just get some resin cured on the bottom of vat..

I removed the new screen and inspected it and suddenly saw that the one I got the supposed tempered glass is nothing more then flimsy bit of plastic even slightly pressing on it bows it and the LCD under it..

When even slight pressure in center bows down the screen from the print bed.
Should I demand a refund? 翻譯年糕

Another question: I leveled the bed to best of my knowledge. After I was done leveling with paper I clicked back and clicked z:offset and clicked enter to save.

When I hit home ; it still hovers slightly above plate. That’s supposed to be like that right? The Z offset is just adjusting difference in height?

Hello everyone,

Thank you for adding me to the group, I am a new owner of Photon and yesterday I did the first print test with the classic 3D Benchy. I climbed it by 50% and used the Elegoo translucent resin. The beginning did not go very well but afterwards it was printed as it should be. Does anyone have any advice to avoid that front that has solidified into a single block? I also enclose the print settings.

Thanks in advance

I’ve hollowed out the model and now am trying to add some drainage holes t the bottom and they won’t add. Every time I click it does nothing. No error message. Using Chitubox. Any tips?
