I've clicked onto something in my Anycubic Slicer and and can't figure it out. Supports seem to be starting below the print bed. Any thoughts?

I'm a month or so into using my Photon and I'm getting a weird issue: when the print head starts to lift after having exposed a layer, it makes a dull thud/click noise. My prints are coming out slightly distorted. I've tried re-levelling and altering the bottom exposure time. It sounds like something's getting stuck to the FEP and the sound could be the noise of the layers popping away from the film. Has anyone else had this???

I'm prepping my first model for printing, and found this very noticeable island. When I click on it to add the support, it won't do it. I'm assuming it is because it is too close to another support (?) - anybody know how to get around this?

So we've had an Photon for 10 months and been able to use it maybe 10 hours. First, the motherboard stopped reading cards. We took out the cable and went straight to the motherboard. Didn't work. Contacted support, tried a few things. Didn't work. Then, the display got laggy. We'd have to touch a square a dozen times to get it to read once. Contacted support. Finally, they sent a new display screen and motherboard. Seriously? I just wanted a printer that worked. Decided to try to install the motherboard. Found out the tool included with our photon did not fit the screws in the photon. Bought tools, replaced motherboard. Went to replace display and the plastic pressure clips broke. Motherboard works, no display. ARGHHH. Can't order those clips. Very tempted to see how far I can chuck this thing. Do they really expect their customers to be able to pull out the motherboard and replace the display? Done venting. Now, can anyone tell me which way this darn ribbon cable is supposed to be orientated in case I can find the pressure clips? Actually, while I'm at it, does anyone know where I can buy the little plastic pressure clips for the ribbon cable socket?

I’m new to the group and new to 3D printing in general. I don’t have any specific hobbies where this may be helpful - but I have some ideas on things I would like to try.

I am running my first test print this morning. It’s sitting at 46% and seems to be working fine. However, things didn’t start off well.

I set everything up per the included instructions and 3D Print Farm’s leveling video. I put the resin in and hit print ... the build plate lowered into the vat and it started making a noise that I wouldn’t expect to be normal. It didn’t move up and down ... just stayed down making the noise. I don’t know how to explain it any other way than it made a sound like a push lawnmower motor would sound like. I know that sounds odd ... but that’s what it sounded like to me. I was concerned maybe the build plate was being pushed down against the FEP and the motor wasn’t stopping (again I did the leveling and z=0 process). I tried to record the sound but the fan was too loud to get a good audio clip. I stopped the print - turned off the machine - then turned back on and started the print again. It started right up and all seems to be working fine.

I know my description of the sound is odd ... but any input/ideas on maybe what happened? What I may have done wrong?

I still can’t see enough of the print to know if it’s coming out correct ... but it seems to be working fine.

Hi guys, I've printed a super hero Bust for a friend. He had the model send it, i just hollowed it and printed.
I made lots of classic Errors here on this print.
Its my 3rd print
1. I Hollowed but made no escape holes thinking that it would drain out and only trapping a little bit in the head, wrong :-) it trapped resin everywhere.
2. Printed directly from the base, no supports no inclination

I have a lot of layers highly visible including what it looks like 2 major layer shifts

I read a lot from this forum so i will prepare the print better next time.

I thing i will hollow it better including a full hole at the base, not sure if i would make extra holes without breaking the model.

Not sure if it needs inclination and supports..

But I will hear your advice while preparing the model to print late in the day.
