Is my LCD screen in its death throes or did something just get down there that needs cleaned?

I've searched the group and still having trouble installing the new lcd screen. When doing the uv detect test I'm not getting the frame image to show. It feels like it connected to the right spot when plugging I to the motherboard so I dont know. This is the second lcd screen as we accidentally broke the first one. Both before we broke the first not having luck on image.

Hey guys, new Photon owner here. I leveled the printer and did the test cube print and it came out flawlessly on the first go. Did another small print (half the size of a dime) of the 'Bearded Yell' model, which also came out very nicely, very surprised at the level of detail. I figured at this point I could now start printing some cooler things like some DnD minis. My first attempt failed and the first few layers stuck to the film at the bottom of the resin tray. I looked online for reasons this can happen and the most common reason I saw (other than leveling) was to reduce the amount of large flat areas due to suctions issues. I took the rafts off the supports I had, which left only the bottom of the mini (no base on it so its feet and 2 swords) and the feet of the supports on the plate.I emptied the resin tray and filtered it, cleaned the tray and the film, cleaned the LCD screen, and reattempted with the new file. This time the main part of the mini ended up stuck on the bottom (some of it wasn't stuck and it was a slimy/bendy mess) but the supports I had set up had stayed adhered to the plate. Are there other reasons or steps I need to take to get this prints to work? I see people saying to print on an angle. Does that mean to get successful prints, I need to avoid large flat areas on the build plate? The default cube file has the large circular base on it but that one came out just fine. I have read that once the plate is leveled you won't need to do it again for a while if at all. I am searching for answers on here and Reddit and elsewhere online, but can't see to come across a straight answer. Do I just need to make exposure time for the bottom layers super long? Using default settings and the included green Anycubic resin. Any help is appreciated.

so, ive watched the videos on replacing the LCD screen, and i think i am pretty good with that part. MY question to the group is "how much force should i use to try and pry the glass cover from the chassis?" I am so afraid i am going to break this cover that i am reluctant to pry it too much. It seem good and stuck. It doesnt just "come off" like the videos show.

new problem - getting started

so I installed the slicer from the USB, 64 edition.

When I open the slicer I see a rectangular box with a grid
When I open the test file 'photon' the test model does not appear in the rectangular/grid but opens in an all new screen called LCD and appears as a green disc.
If I go back to the rectangular it says - no file selected - but if I open 'photon' file again its the LCD again.

what do I do to get the testresult in the program?

hey guys

maybe a silly question but still
I just took the photon out of the box and followed the booklet to assemble. in the beginning it says to level the plate, and assemble the vat later, but my vat is preassembled ? its already there screwed in... is that normal?
I also have a weird kind of discolouring in my lcd screen which moves a bit if you touch it and there seems to be a small crease in the surface of the lcd - will this be a problem?

LCD Woes

I am having some issues with a new LCD screen I ordered and I am hoping that the group here will have some experience with it. The short of it is, I destroyed an LCD screen a few weeks ago and have replaced it twice. The first LCD I ordered was the wrong model ( the cable ribbon has no 90 in it) and I tried to make this work with my Photon, however it failed. I ordered a 2nd, and correct LCD but I cannot get that one to work either. The LCD will not display the rectangle when doing a UV test. I have tried resetting the printer back to its factory settings, then upgrading to the 4.2.14 firmware, but still no joy. I am going to try the 4.2.17 beta firmware tonight and see if that makes a difference. Beyond that the only thing I can think of is I did something to my motherboard. Have y’all had this issue before?

See attached pictures as reference.

So with an out of the box LCD issue one one of the two Photons I opened today I'm going to work out the orientation for this and the rest of the parts for the kit I'm designing.

Pic of the LCD for reference.

So taken my lcd out to order a new one as it gave up displaying. There is a plastic plate left above the projector though which has a mark on it. Can anyone confirm this is a part of the lcd and should also be removed ?

If it should stay there will I also have to replace this due to the mark on it? It is not resin so not sure what has caused it.
