Has anyone used Kapton tape to seal the gap around the LCD in case of a resin leak? If so, what size, type, did you use?

Did paper test and all seemed good. Decided to cut paper into 3 sections to check and noticed a difference in the amount of drag between each. The set screw is loose of course. No obvious debris on lcd nor the platform. Normal?

Update: my build plate is near perfect (see pics in comments). LCD screen protrudes about 0.3mm above on the left side which caused the issue. Gently pushed it down with finger and all is good now ?

So this happened today. Not sure what to make of it so I will ask the hive mind. Long story short, I had a leak in a new FEP I put on the other day. Resin had leaked out and over about 1/3 of my LCD screen. Lucky for me I had taped up the sides of the screen so nothing leaked into the innards of the printer. It also leaked while nothing was printing, so no resin really cured anywhere. After cleaning everything off carefully and setting my zero lvl again, I ran a test on the UV light and got this. My pattern now has a "mole" in the top right. Not sure if it just appeared or if its been there a while.

My question is have yall seen weird little dead spots like this before? I am going to assume this will jack with any future prints until I get it fixed. What do you think my options are with this?

I bought a new new LCD for having spoiled my cable. I just installed it and U.V. Detection is like in the video.

I've tried reconnecting and moving the cable a few times and nothing changes. Anyone have any suggestions? 翻譯年糕

I know 2nd post in a short time but this is a completly different issue to streching prints :)

I have replaced my Mainboard as requested by Anycubic, All seemed to go well once I managed to get the LCD conector on, it was just too fiddly for me.
I ran a few dry test prints to make sure it did not stop halfway throguh a print and it seemed ok. But did not do much else after that until today when I did an actual print, see my previous post.

When going down to compare the old printed model with the new I took the build plate off and noticed something I have never noticed before, it was hot, not warm hot, if I had not been wearing gloves I expect it would have been an issue, also the VAT was hot, the metalic part at least, and the side of the printer was hot/warm as well and I have never experienced this the print finished about 3 hours a go so I'm guessing it should not feel hot or even warm :)

Any help here guys :)

Okay, so I tried my first real mini print after some calibration, and it came out super stretched. Or rather, I think the height is fine along the Z, but the X and Y look off. Did some digging and it seems like ChiTuBox didn't have the correct build volume to start, so I changed it to match that of Photon Slicer, 68.04 x 120.96 x 150.

That didn't really make sense to me, coming from the FDM side of things where that will just cause the outside edges to get cut off, but I guess if the pixel resolution of the LCD remains the same, it changes the DPI of the X/Y dimensions and that affects how the print comes out in those dimensions, ya?

Hey All - would love some advice regarding raft failures I'm suddenly having. I used up the AnyCubic translucent green that I started with (and didn't have this problem when using) and started trying out the Anycubic Aqua Blue that also came with my printer. I using settings from Git as well as from this page, most consistently at .050" 9 second exposure and 1 second off. (I've also tried .025, 6.5 and 1 and .035 7.0, and 1) Detail has been good, as has adhesion to the build plate, but I keep getting raft failures. Seems to happen all over the build plate despite orientation. I'm including an example below. On this particular piece about 20% of the supports failed, all similar to this failure, but at a variety of Z heights. Any ideas? I'm getting detail below and above, so I don't think it's the LCD. I'm wondering if it's the resin, or my settings.

In Chitubox under the machine settings there is an option for LCD_mirror, DLP normal, and normal. What are these settings and what should I have it set to?
