I have some tiny glassbottles and need caps for them. The diameter of the bottom of the bottles are 10mm, so i need very tiny caps. Is it possible to print such tiny things with the photon s?
And any idea were to get the stl file for such strange things.
Should look like the one on the pic.
Any idea how to make such caps?

Chitubox continually crashing. All I use it for is slicing and converting stl to photon; recommend another program to use instead?

Thanks again for all the responses yesterday regarding the concerns I had. Lot of great feedback.
A little history on me, I bought an M3D a few years ago to print some small structures for my model railroad. I think I probably had more failures than successes. I then bought a PowerSpec mini i3 duplicator from MicroCenter and had a much higher success rate. Even with both of those I've only printed <50 objects. All I've ever done is go to thingiverse and pull down the appropriate files and print (might explain my failures)
My wife got me the Photon for Valentines Day (pretty sweet I know). I printed the test file and love it. I tried to get an STL of the Eiffel Tower and print it because that's something I never had great success with my FDMs.
It seems critical that I use additional tools to make STL files Photon friendly.
I've installed Phton Workshop and Photon Slicer. I tried to import my Eiffel model into it and thought I had it figured out. When I take it to the printer to print, the Z Axis tried to keep going up higher than it can go as soon as I start the print and it fails. I have to go into the menu and hit emergency stop.
Can someone recommend a video series that might help educate me on the basics of file / model preparation for the Photon? Also, is there an STL library that is Photon friendly?
Looking forward to learning more from you.

I joined this group a few weeks ago and I have been reading and studying a lot mostly due to a torn achilles tendon. I am grateful for the all the posts and information in this group.
I am getting ready to start my first print using Anycubic Grey Resin. I have attached photos of my supports in chitubox, my settings for the printer and for the resin. Would you review and let me know if you think I have a high chance of success. I have seen a number of failed prints and I would like to avoid that as much as possible. I also turned on anti-aliasing and set it to level 4. My firmware and everything is all updated and ready to go as far as i know. I checked level and did everything per the instructions on youtube and other forums as well.
Should i tilt my project 45 degrees or so? Are my light supports good enough or should i add some heavy supports Is there any reason not to use the anti aliasing Slicing is only necessary for large files that don't fit the print area. Is this correct?
Thanks for your time and consideration. 翻譯年糕

Have had my Photon since November and have gotten mostly good prints out of it. Today I touched the knob while it was running and there was a static shock. The screen immediately threw a memory error and told me to reseat the USB drive. Did that and it restarted the print. However, now the Z axis is not working at all. I have cycled power and also unplugged it a few times. Nothing will get it moving again. Has anyone else seen a problem like this?

Okay a few questions (Shocker, I know):
1) It appears that my photon only reads the pws files, but of course, Chutibox only exports in .photon. Any thoughts on how to convert those?
2) Supposedly you can print that cube thing pretty much right out of the box with no supports -- but running it through Photon Validator shows quite a number of things that need to be fixed -- and some things that can't be auto fixed. I noticed that there's a size listing, like some of these islands are a pixel size... is that something to worry about?
3) My printer did not come with the green resin, but I have grey resin I bought. Do I need to go to the spreadsheet and adjust the STL file for the demo cube?
Thanks!

Hi guys! In case someone is into 3d printing real-world objects - I with my friend created a small store for photoscanned assets. We take a crazy amount of high res photos, load it into a high-end PC and let it crunch for 10-20 hours, a little bit of manual work after and an asset is ready. It's mostly for VFX, but maybe you like it to. Check it out - https://digiprops.io/ Hope I would not get banned for this:)

Hi guys.
Might be a stupid question, but have to ask.

Are supports change if I save them to stl and load them in another program?
What I meant to do is start in pursaslicer with some supports, save in stl and add supports in chitubox. Does this work?? Or pursa supports then became odd dimensions??

Thanks

Starting to research equipment for 3D printing. So far I like the Anycubic Photon.
Aside from the inexpensive gear, should I be looking at a 6w or 20w curing light?
Is 20w just a time saver or will there be issues curing too quickly or slowly with either lamp?

Mostly printing D&D miniatures but I suggested to my wife that we could print some pretty amazing packaging add-ones to birthday, Christmas, holiday and team gifts as well.

Thanks in advance.
