Hi, thanks for accepting. About to push the order button on a Photon Zero, and there seems to be a lack of reviews online...does anyone have one? It's to compliment 2 x fdm machines I have for smaller more detailed models. The size, and the fact one reviewer stated hardly any smell attracts me. Any views on this? Thank you

Wo dering if anyone else has had this problem. Only loads to this screen and seems to be booting up from the thumb drive.

Photon Validator seems to be crashing on larger files. It just locks up around 1100 layers in and freezes the entire application. Not using antialiasing or anything. Has anyone had this issue before?

I bought my Photon S about 11 months ago. It started out great but after semi-regular use (about 3 print jobs a week) it may be cooked. I had to replace the LCD screen due to some reoccurring light projection issues. But after the new LCD screen nothing would stick to the build plate. I swapped FEP relevelled using multiple methods. And now the LCD touch screen seems to register my touches about an inch to the left. So in order to access a menu option I click an inch off set, which works great for things on the center of the screen. Has anyone else encountered this?

I think the first few layers are sticking to the FEP. I can hear a crackling sound when the plate moves up after the first few. The bed struggles up and then seems to free up. The current print also seemed like the printer forgot where zero was. It kept dropping the print bed for two seconds despite a grinding noise telling me it hit the bottom. I’ll keep an eye on this one and then after, I’ll probably change the FEP and re-level.

Thoughts?

Hi.
Long time FDM owner, new at resin. So I have two questions:
1. Are there an online guide for common print troubleshooting, like the is for FDM. ?
2. So my current problem is that bottom layers seems to "melt" together. See the pictures, the coin should have been identical on top and bottom.
What parameters should I tweake to fix this?

I have 8 bottom layers, with 50 sec exposure time for the bottom layers. Otherwise 6 sec for all other layers.

My printer is a photon S, the resin is the one that came with the package.

Anycubic Validator.

Rather than me going off to 1 figure out how / where to change it and 2 trying to remember how to java.

Can we get an update that uses something like Dijkstra's algorithm to auto fix single pixels within a single pixel distance from a group.

It's a great piece of open source work, it can just be a little painful when there seems to be a single pixel out on every layer :(

EDIT: I literally just found a button that does exactly what i'm asking... fml!

Hi everyone, I've been printing for awhile now and even early on I'd get cracks in some prints. And not always straight away. Sometimes after a week or so. Anyone have similar problems or know what causes it.

I've had the thought it could be maybe because I use the sun instead of a curing light, don't know

I was just given a photon. I've done some initial prints, and things didn't go well. After digging deeper, it seems the LCD screen has gone bad. The person I got it from said they had an issue and the well leaked and spilled all over. They had to clean it out. I assume it was during this cleaning that the screen went bad.

Besides replacing the screen, is there anything else I should check to make sure is ok? Are there any "must do" tweaks? I've seen a few online, but they don't seem very important.
