When I replaced my lcd screen, it seems there was a "cover" on the old one. I assume this is to protect the lcd screen.

Is there anywhere to order this cover?

I cannot get my prints to stick to the bed. I've leveled the bed four different times, but it never works. I've done it twice with paper how Anycubic shows, and twice with the Flint Read method.

Is there something special I need to do to get the print to stick?

What's your bottom layer exposure time?

I had to up my base exposure time to get anything to stick to mine

My exposure times were way too low. Followed this chart and have had no problems since: https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j......

I set my bottom layer exposure time to 90 seconds. I read that increasing it can help it stick.

I followed the recommendation for the resin for the settings and that worked. Slowed the prints down a ton, but works flawlessly now,

Mixed the resin good first right? And what’s the ambient temp?

The three steps I took, levelling one of them but up your exposure time to 80s for the bottom layers and update your firmware.

So the prints are sticking to the plastic in the well and not the build plate.

If you are using photon workshop as a slicer check the first few layers. It was deleting my first layers for some reason.

Anyone else lube the FEP to aide in layer release?

Stefan Giudici

Matthew W. Johnson no need, fep is a flouoropolymer, very slick on its own.

Matthew W. Johnson is the FEP tight enough? Have you recently changed it?

I had to replace my lcd screen. I bought a screen off Amazon that said it worked with the Photon. When I got the new one, it has a silver back. Is this the wrong screen, or does that silver come off?

Mine had silver, too. Though it looked more like a mirror. You’ll have to pull the film off and I imagine keep fingerprints off it.

that's the backlight. these screens were made for smartphones so some come with the backlight. there are instructions on youtube on removing it

my screen came straight from anycubic - and is also silvered on the back as was the original one on the machine. the UV works fine through the silver layer

Awesome. Thanks for the help. I was able to get it off and it's working good. I thought I broke the screen at first. There's a lot of layers you have to take off of for the back light.

If its mirror reflective silver that's the lower polarizer and definitely not something to mess with.

If its a matte silver or grey silver then that's likely a backlight and needs to be removed.

I was just given a photon. I've done some initial prints, and things didn't go well. After digging deeper, it seems the LCD screen has gone bad. The person I got it from said they had an issue and the well leaked and spilled all over. They had to clean it out. I assume it was during this cleaning that the screen went bad.

Besides replacing the screen, is there anything else I should check to make sure is ok? Are there any "must do" tweaks? I've seen a few online, but they don't seem very important.
