BEAUTIFUL!!! Haha what's happened here then? Just got my Photon today set it up and started printing the pre-loaded cube off the USB stick but about 15% into the build I noticed it was starting to stick to the FEP film slightly as it was lifting and then flicking free, any ideas anyone? From what I can tell the leveling looks ok, could it be that the Z axis is set too low? Any help would would be very much appreciated ? thanks for your time. ?

Hello folks,
I have a noob question here. Just received my Photon S and went the whole leveling phase. I'm now ready to print but it won't read the provided USB . It actually won't read any of the half-dozen USB sticks I tried either.

I tried clean-formatting one in FAT32 with diskpart as well. It doesn't work any better.
Symptoms :
- shows nothing on the print menu of the lcd control for any of the key
- freezes the menu with the freshly formatted key.

After 3 successful prints the usb that came with my printer won’t let me save or copy any splices onto it, saying it’s write protected. Has this happened to anyone else? Bonus fun-when I go though cmd it tells me that the usb isn’t write protected.

First test print just failed, I came back and it was just on the main menu. So I was googling and saw people had an issue where it had restarted mid print... is this a common issue? What can I do to keep that from happening. I’m not using the included USB. Should I? I had seen someone else say that those weren’t good.

Just received my Photon yesterday and ran the photon.Photon test print off of the included USB stick (I've read that it can be problematic). Yeah, not so good. What would cause this to happen? I took my time trying to level the print plate, following more detailed instructions than those in the manual.

Can anyone run a Photon off a Raspberry PI or is the USB stick the only method so far?
I saw there is also an Ethernet port on the board but I assumed it was for future expansion?

It's rare that I say my photos don't do the models justice, today I am going to say it. The expression on the little girl's face is beautifully sculpted, I actually feel some sympathy for her when looking at the model, it's just really well done! I think my camera (well, blame me) focused in front of her and you can't quite make out just how pained her expression is and how well-detailed the sculpt is.

There is a painted version out there I'm hoping Dmitri Shevchenko will post it to save me. This model set is such a great hook for D&D, end of a raid (goblin or human), track down the brutal wife-abusing husband, stubborn widowed farmwoman won't sell her land to the town villain and gets murdered, hooks off these are just endless!

Hey folks! I just joined after paying $20 for a custom die I designed to be printed at Shapeways and deciding I wanted to look into getting my own SLA. I have a Tevo Tornado for larger build volumes, and I'm about to pull the trigger on the AnyCubic Photon to compliment it. I'll be printing mostly miniatures and dice (either as-is or for mold positives). I have a few questions if you don't mind helping out a newb before I buy ($300 seems like a great freakin' deal). I know there's a learning curve with something new like this, but I'm a quick study!

1.) the consumable clear UV sheet, how long do they last? I know they provide an extra, just curious how often I'd be buying replacements and what they cost.

2.) Anyone use these for dice? I'm wondering since it's resin if printing dice is enough, or if they are better used as a master for casting (which I do as well).

3.) Resin bottle is about $20? Do they last a long time? I know it depends on how much you print, but I'm just curious how much resin gets used

4.) Do regular STLs work with a DLP SLA? I think they get converted to images, right, so the software must have to convert the SLA to something the printer can read.

5.) Octoprint - I know it has a USB port, though I don't know if it's supported by Octoprint. I could just be non-lazy and look myself, but might as well seed the conversation in case someone here has anything to add on that front.

6.) I'm told cleanup is more of a thing and the smell can get pretty strong. Using this in my basement probably not a good thing then?
