I am having no luck at all with my Photon. I have had this machine for a year, no issues. Suddenly in the middle of a print I had an error. Fan would no longer turn on. I had read that I needed to flash the firmware. So I DL the latest version 4.2.19 and start up the machine with the files copied to the root. I get a series of beeps, and then print the 1-fpga29_P29_104.bin file. System info now shows V4.2.9.3_LCD/1440x2560 /F2.9, I slice ANY file and go to print and I get this garbage printing out. Nothing like what I selected (and the only file on the USB drive). Steps I have taken: Run the factory reset gcode. Reflashed to 4.2.19. Re-sliced a simple file. Same result. Cleaned glass under the vat, replaced the FEP (which was perfectly clear), zeroed the plate. Run the test with known good settings...I am at a total loss here.

Does anyone know how to network the photon? I use octoprint on my fdm printers and I was wondering if there is a way to get away from having to physically insert a USB drive for every print?

very new to 3d printing. i have print maybe 4 times, and 3 out of the 4 times the models have been missing there base/legs. i have replaced the usb stick with what i hope is more reliable drive. is there any suggestions on how i can prevent this from happening again? annoying part is, when i print more than one, only one will have the deformity.

I know Anycubic customer service often (and with reason) gets a bad rap, so I thought it only fair to share a good experience.
I've been getting the dreaded M-11800 USB related error on and off for a while, I raised a ticket with anycubic a while ago and got a response with the normal "try a new USB, correct size, etc" fixes, as the fault was intermittent I left it at that. Yesterday the fault started occurring with more regularity.

I raised a ticked via the site last night, and woke up this morning to a message advising they were sending me a new motherboard, so they do get it right sometimes :)

And yet more stoopid Nu-B questions:
1) Does the example cube stl that comes with the printer actually need supports? The manual says it's optional
2) What size USB will this printer read from?

Well it seems that as soon as I join this group my Photon wants to try to quit. I keep getting "Memory error code:M_100000. Please try to replug the USB disk and continue printing." So far I have tried a couple of different USB sticks (FAT32) reformatting and formatting back. The obvious turn off, wait for a while then turn back on, both keeping the stick in and taking it out during the power down time. Still same error. I also tried plugging the USB directly into the motherboard to no avail. Tried a new outlet. Nothing. Can't upgrade the firmware since the USB isn't working. Anybody ever experienced this and come back from the brink?

Hallo. Is it normal for the printer not to show the actual print photo in the screen? Ive tryed to see the free demo paladin from forge heroes to check slice it in chitubox but when i put it to the usb on the printer the Image is not come on the screen only the title of the print.

I've browsed I can't find anything to help.
Got a new photon the original one, printed the test cube, all came out good. Did a second print of a model part, all came out good.
Since then 5 prints failed, I'm just left with a thin layer of resin on the fep and nothing on the build plate.
I'm using mesh mixer for modelling exporting it as an STL and using the slicer that came on the USB for supports and slicing.

I've not changed any of the slicer settings so it's still
0.05 layer thickness
8 normal exposure time
1 off time
50 bottom exposure time
8 bottom layers

Am I just missing something stupid?

Weird thing going on.
Twice now when I try to print large prints (this one x:50.48 y:85.96 z:102) the print doesn't fail...
Nothing happens at all ?‍♀️ nothing stuck to the fep, no floating resin, nothing.

Sliced with chitubox with my photon settings for the build plate. Same USB drive I've been using for awhile.

Hey all,

Looking for advice: with the same USB I have been using, when I go to the print screen all the images are black instead of showing any printable models. I reformatted the stick and put all the files back on it but was met with the same issue. unplugged the printer for a minute and the issue still persisted. Any advice? Tips or tricks? Thanks in advance.

Also, the same stick works in my photon S.
